I am! I'm following the old Momentum program though. I tried PointsPlus back in January and the weight just wasn't coming off that way. I re-started this past Monday, hopefully I can stick with it this time! I had lost 45lbs on this diet about 5 years ago so I know it works! Good Luck!! :D

I follow momentum too or calorie count depending how I feel. I'm also a whole foods gal :)

Used to be...we once had a small group on here, but we kind of fell off the face of 3FC. I've moved on to vegan living...and I'm looking to focus on whole foods (there is a lot of vegan crap out there, so it has been easy to maintain around 180).

I am! I just started about a week and a half ago. I'm doing the PointsPlus plan.

DivineFidelity 09-28-2011 08:34 PM

I'm doing the old flex points program, but I don't pay for it I just have a calculator for it on my phone.

Andrbeck 09-28-2011 09:21 PM

I've been considering it.. but I don't want to pay for it.. because i'm afraid I won't stick to it.

DivineFidelity 09-28-2011 09:31 PM

Andrebeck...you don't have to pay for it.

This is what I use...

Here is the Flex Points quiz (what they used before Points Plus)

and Here is a points calculator for your food...

That's all you need. It's simple and it works.

Andrbeck 09-28-2011 09:36 PM

Divine- I had NO idea you could just do that.. I LOVE this. I... am going to try it I think. Thank you so much!!!

Andrbeck 09-28-2011 09:36 PM

(woops.. I didn't see the one you posted before my first one! sorry!!!)

PageLynn 09-28-2011 09:52 PM

I follow the Points Plus program. I don't attend meetings or using online. I have the books and calculator (my grandma bought them for me) but I mostly just use my app on my phone (WWdiary android)

DivineFidelity 09-28-2011 09:54 PM

Andrbeck - No big deal. A few suggestions....Find some 0 and 1 point snacks to keep around (sugar free jello, weight watchers fudgesicles) that are sweet and will feel like you're treating yourself. Also....a bag of that 98% fat free butter popcorn is only like 2 or 3 points....and that's a whole bag. I could never finish a bag, but it was a good salty snack when that's what I was craving. Good luck with it, and if you need any advice (I lost like 70 pounds doing that....until I stopped caring and started eating junk and gained it all back) then feel free to PM me. =D

I am doing WW too! The old plan (not the flex plan). I get 27 pts daily because I exercise daily, no roll over for the week. When I did it in the past without exercise I only got 24 pts. I'll have been doing points for 1 month this coming Monday!

I did it like 3 years ago really strictly for about 3 months and went down a pant size (back when I wasn't exercising) and of course I stopped. I didn't gain that pant size back, thank god! but I am back to the points for good with exercise and I totally LOVE it.

I love WW because it seriously does work if you keep with it & before you know it you have figured out all sorts of food that fits into your plan & I do what Divine does - I use the points calculator on line, I found my daily allotment on line too. I bought an official WW book of foods with their points off ebay but I don't even use it because the calculator does it all for you.

Just write it down - thats my suggestion - otherwise you start saying "Oh I know this is 4 pts because I have eaten it before" but as the day goes on you lose track.

DivineFidelity 09-29-2011 08:23 AM

Steinanwine is right, it's extremely important to write it all down! I always kept a food journal and that's how I stayed on track. Once I stopped keeping a food journal, I stopped losing weight. I always managed to forget something that I ate. lol

Munchy 09-29-2011 09:49 AM

Another great suggestion is to get a good food scale. They're inexpensive ($20 ish) and they will help you really monitor how much you're taking in. The next suggestion is echoing everyone else to TRACK. Write down everything. The easy way for me is to plan ahead, but not everyone likes to do that. Meanwhile, I really admire people who can eat on the fly and fit it into their point limit.

When I first started weight watchers years ago to lose my baby weight, I spent the morning after my meeting with my points calculator and a sharpie, writing down points values and serving sizes on the packages for all of the foods I had around. It was incredibly helpful.

Good luck! :)
