I know this post is quite old, but I still wanted to comment on it.

Your pictures should be a reflection of your accomplishments. You shouldn't make an attempt to cover up who you once were. Be proud.
I like how you were quick to defend yourself when someone assumed that you were 17. You felt the need to throw in your college degree as if that defines you as a person. You obviously don't like people judging you [the entire reason for wanting to remove old pictures], so why do it to others [your mention of obesity]?

I think you should be proud of your new weight loss and the people who are really your friends should be proud to! When I lose my weight I want people to see how far I've come and how hard I worked. Keep the pictures just cause your different on the outside doesn't mean your different on the inside

I think it's extremely motivating and powerful for other people to see how far you've come and how you've changed. I don't think you should delete them- they're a part of who you are. Not every picture on facebook has to be perfect. People who have known you for a long time must be incredibly proud of you, and people who are meeting you now and looking through your pictures must be thinking "DANG! That girl worked her butt off and looks amazing!".

Like and ditto. It's good to be able to look back and be proud of myself for how far I've come. And to know I'll never be there again!
