Very well said msmodel sarah. I think all of us can lose together! IT seems like most if not all of us had a similar starting point are the same weight now. WE CAN DO THIS!

I've got an adult to lose, about 150lbs give or take. Hey how do you all put the little weight loss ticker on your signatures?

I have an overweight adult to lose. Basically half of me has to disappear! I am 35lbs into it and am desperately trying to keep focused. I find 3FC is a really good tool for that.

So I have to ask and I don't mean any offense by this but I have found myself on 3FC for about two months now and I post daily in the 100lb club but I only lurk over here in the 20 somethings. I know it sounds kinda odd but I find that even though I know that their challenges are just as hard as mine that I don't relate to the majority here. I suppose I haven't seen many that had as much to lose as I do. I often find that I in some way feel like the fat girl in the room. I can't be the only one... Anyways just wanted to say thanks for posting this thread. It is a total eye opener that I am not the only one in the 20 somethings that isn't trying to lose 20-40lbs.

I have 90 lbs to lose too... I never thought about it as a whole person though... kind of depressing, lol!!! A lot of times I want to kick myself for letting myself gain so much weight... but no use crying over spilled milk! Good luck to everyone.

Hopefully we can ACTUALLY motivate each other here... I don't know if anyone else has had this issue... though I love reading other people's posts and get some motivation just from hearing other stories, I have yet to meet a someone else, be it a single person or a group, that I make a connection with and that we really keep daily accountability of each other which is what I feel I really need... a special bond with someone I don't want to disappoint and vice versa. Anyone else have the same issue?

I definitely understand what you are saying. I too really need someone that I can do accountability with, but haven't found that connection yet.

Welcome Sara!

I totally feel you on the losing a person idea. Sometimes I would look at my fourth grade students and think I've lost more than they even weigh! Such a trip. I'm about 5 lbs away from losing 100 lbs and holy h*ll that feels weird! Weird, but possible...

I think you have to have a certain number of posts before you can have a signature. Possibly 25? There might also be some requirement of having been a member for a certain amount of time. So I'm not great with details, but it's something like that . Maybe someone who has some more concrete info can chime in. When you can get one, go up to the purple band of links at the top of the page and look under "quick links".

A few years ago, I lost around 50 lbs, then I regained it and even MORE lbs, then I lost 25 and regained those and now I am trying to lose back at least 43. So in total...give or take some lbs its honestly like 120 lbs...a whole, healthy human being (although I guess this "person" would be made of lard LOL)

I still have the equivalent of my best friend (that skinny bi@$% j/k) to lose. It's a little daunting, but I set up a ton of personal goal weights to hit ie all the important ones that I was. It makes it a little easier to set my sights on something more attainable before grabbing onto the whole picture.

You can totally do this. Good luck!

I'm with you. My highest was 280lbs but I'm currently down to 230lbs. I don't really have a set goal, but I would imagine another 80lbs or so, which I know some petite girls my age who weigh about that much lol.
