One-to-one support is awesome! This site is great too!! Its hard getting to the person I see myself being everday. Actually 'knowing' someone actively on the same journey is motivating. I have a lot to lose so my journey may be a while..why not make friends along the way ? Im 26 with a very busy schedule just finished my first 10k April 2 yay!!..Just wondering if anyone needs a cheerleader like I do.. I dont mind exchanging FB info or something..

well i'm 21...in May....so i'm a little bit younger then you...but I definitely know what it's like to have a crazy hectic schedule. I know what you mean about one on one support being helpful, and if you'd like to exchange facebook info just send me a message. I'm actually friends with a lot of people who used to be active in the forum on facebook. It's nice being able to support each other there. =)

I just signed up for my first 10k coming up on August 13th.

How was it ? I've done a couple of 5k's before and I had to jog/walk on and off. So I'm going to try really hard to train up and prepare for this one!

well techincally I haven't started back up with the diet and exercise yet. That all starts tomorrow. Well maybe not the exercise since I'm having surgery tomorrow, I'll probably wait a week or two for that...but the diet starts tomorrow. After I have my tonsils out I won't be able to eat much anyways, so I figured that my stomach will shrink just like it does that first week of a diet when you're really super hungry...but even though I'm really super hungry I won't want to eat because it will hurt too much. I guess it's just something else to keep me on track. How about you whitlockdj? How are your diet and exercise going? =D

I am 23 and I could use a cheerleader (or you know, a cheerleading team). I am perfectly willing to hoist other people along with me on my weight loss trip. It will help me keep me on track if I am doing it with them.

@DevineFidelity I hope your surgery goes well. My diet last week was blah..didn't go to the gym and I wasn't really watching what I was eating...This week I'm hoping to get back on track. Im gonna try to exercise more and eat better. My weakness is chocolate but it so gets in the way of my ultimate goal and I feel guilty after impulsively buying a chocolately peanut buttery nutty bar from the quick stop! lol
