I don't post on here very often, I am more of a lurker, but I have to post before I go nuts.
I think my fiance is having his Meriod this week; he has been so testy it isn't even funny. This morning we were having a great morning and being snuggly, then an hour later he shut the door in my face and wouldn't talk to me. Talk about cranky, everytime I asked what was wrong he said nothing. His mom even said she think he was PMS'ing this weekend when he refused to call in his food order so we could go pick it up.
You know I used to tell my husband this all the time- that he had a man period. But then eventually it got worse and worse. One day he had a ridiculous confrontation with some random stranger and got into a fist fight. Over something REALLY REALLY dumb too. That was my breaking point and I was like either go to the doctor or I'm done. After some questions the doctor actually put him on Lexapro to take the edge off (cuz seriously the DUMBEST things upset him- things that didn't make sense) and since then (I'd say at least 9 months ago) he's been perfectly normal. Sure certain things make him mad- but things that make SENSE to be mad about!
So your bf's man period may be something more than just that- just FYI.
I have a brother who definitely gets IMS and a meriod . The thing about those is that, while women have a cycle and get PMS and TOM once a month, men can get IMS and a meriod at any point in time, no cycle.
My boss swears her husband is menopause just like she is.
His lasts a little longer than mine, but it's funny because he said earlier in the week he was having pregnancy cravings....we had to go get fried pickles. I am just glad he can admit it, tonight by the time I got home he was in a much better mood
Beerab - you know it's funny you sat that because I actually have PMDD and am on Wellbutrin. I had to be discontinued from my Zoloft this month due to extreme side effects (insomnia and memory loss) and have had this TOM without anything; I just started the Wellbutrin this morning. I wonder if me being worse this month effects him too
And his cycles the exact same as mine. When I'M on my period, I get super lovey dovey and maternal. When he's on HIS he gets really short tempered but it blows over super fast (which is a drastic change because otherwise he is the calmest most easy going guy I know!). Always lasts one week. Always the same week.
