linds, i did the SAME THING last yr after my sister’s wedding. I got down to 150-ish from 168, and then PROMPTLY gained it all back and more as soon as the wedding was over. I was SO mad at myself and it was so painful to get that weight i had already lost back off of me
we’re totally kindred spirits, girl. let’s keep each other motivated! we can do this! i’d say try to be mindful of your eating on your trip (all inclusive, yikes!), and indulge at one meal a day. breakfast one day, lunch the next, dinner the next, etc. and work out if u can. 30 mis on the elliptical is no big deal when ur laying around all day, right??
skinnyby25, welcome back!!! i did that exact same thing after vacation this past may. Was down to 148, came back from vacay at 155, thought it was all going to be water weight, and eventually had to come to terms w the fact that I was at 153 again.
so sorry girl! but we’re here for you! you’ve done it once, you’ll do it again.
lose25, OMG i’m dying to see 140!!!! i CANNOT WAIT!!! so happy for u
ok ladies, i think i have to re-evaluate. i have been losing REALLY SLOWLY. and i set these time-oriented goals for myself (like i want to hit 140 by nov 30th), and then i fail to meet them every time! EVERY time! So i’m wondering WHY I lose so slowly. And I’ll wager that I lose this slowly bc I do not eat as healthily as I can, and I do not work out as regularly as I should, and I let myself cheat several times a week. we’re talking a handful of chips and salsa, but it counts! it’s 200 cals, 700mg of sodium, and extra unhealthy fat i don’t need. So, it’s experiment time.
I’m going to a wedding next weekend. My honey and I leave thurs. that’s one week from today. I am going to go to great pains to EAT RIGHT, exercise, drink my water, and *GASP* go to sleep at a decent hour. I’ll report back tomorrow... let’s see what happens...
