Eyks - I'm no expert but this is what I will say. I think that body detoxes can be beneficial if you're trying to flush your body of sugars/crap, however when it comes to actual weight loss the age old theory of slow and steady/something you can live with still stands.
I don't know how well it would work, but I would say that even if you dropped a lot of weight, if you can't continue to use it (I'm sure it wouldn't be healthy) then you will add on the weight again rather quickly. As frustrating as weight loss (or a plateau) can be.... pick something healthy you can stick with and just ride it out.
