i'm a teacher, and yesterday a student gave me some m & m's. of course, i accepted them graciously and put them on a tissue on my desk to eat "later".
chocolate is totally my trigger food! and even though i KNOW that as a teacher you shouldn't eat anything that a student has touched with their bare hands, i was tempted to anyway..
but today before school, i got rid of them even though my mind was telling me "oh, just ONE would be okay".
I'm still working on a good decision today! LOL...i haven't been feeling good the past couple of days so eating healthy isn't something thats been on my mind very much!
i have a really good one but it was two days ago. my apartment complex was baking cookies when i was working out and when i got back from my workout i changed and showered and started heading back out to get some of the free cookie, then thought about it and sat back down. later i went back over there to the study lounge and i looked to see if the cookies were still there, almost all of them were!! I stood staring at them for about 15 seconds then just walked away!
I planned my meals today before I even ate breakfast. I entered them into my calorie counter on my phone, and I have been following them religiously! I stopped doing that a couple weeks ago and it was a BAD idea, so I'm getting back on track!
I'm also going to the gym now even though I've been dead tired all day. Just because I'm tired doesn't mean that I can't exercise...I just won't go nuts today.
Today was Student Appreciation Day at my school, meaning that there's free cotton candy, candy "goody bags," churros, sodas, etc. being given out all over campus. I purposely took the longer route to class so I could avoid being around all that junkfood!
I baked some bagels today, ate two of them and still wanted more! So I put all of them in the freezer instead and am thinking of things I can eat that are protein rich instead of carbs for the rest of the day to make up for it.
DH and I went on a 2 1/2 hour hike this afternoon, after which we usually descend upon the nearest In-N-Out to refuel. I resisted the siren call of the double-double (protein style/animal style!) even though I knew it would be an ok choice for me. I knew I could have something healthier at home.
So I came home (we picked up a Carl's Jr burger for DH on the way home) and ate a bowl of hot oatmeal. YUM!
