horrified please help club wear?
okay so im usually good with this on my own ( mini skirts and t-Sz or jeans and a sexy halter or something ) but this time i feel like im out in left field i am going to a club with my friends on saturday night and the event specifys DRESS TO IMPRESS wth does that mean .... they want me in a cocktail dress? should it be long? wth is it supposed to look like ? i guessing jeans of any kind is a no ? mini skirts with a cute shirt would also be a no im guessing? i figured my safest bet would be a dress .. but what kind of dress? i have god awful arms ... there goes most of the dresses that i can wear now what please outfit ideas links anything would be helpful
im 5'6 in the 220's figure type ... slightly broad shouldrd ample chest somewhat defined waist no hips or butt ( yes i know it sucks to be me ) i feel most comftable in a skirt as i feel it hides the fact that i have no hips or butt .. ill include a picture so you have a better idea of what might look nice on my figure

Dress to impress usually means no jeans. That's all I got.

I'd say a cocktail dress would look great. You look like you have a very nice figure from that pic. I think you could get away with a skirt and top too, though a little dressier than what's in the pic. And I'd stay away from fishnets if you're going with a short skirt. If you're worried about your arms, I think that throwing a blazer over your dress would work well--that is what I usually do to make something dressier. You have great legs, so you could go with more coverage up top, and then a shorter skirt and heels.

Cocktail dress that you can dance in is what I would do.
I was just at Ross earlier this week/last week and there's a dress event sale thing going on so perhaps that could yield results?

If it were me, I'd probably wear a party dress. Nothing too fancy or formal or Sunday's-best looking or anything, but nothing excessively sexy. Probably a simple slinky material cut about mid-thigh to just above the knee. Then use accessories and jewelry and makeup to glam it up a bit for the club setting. Halter dresses will minimize broad shoulders.
I wouldn't do a mini skirt and t-shirt. But a dressier skirt with a fancier top would probably work. I'm just more comfortable in dresses, I guess, lol.

I would say cocktails dress. And like forestroad said, a blazer would look cool, or even a sweater shrug would be cute.

okay so no one mentioned jeans ... so thats deff out i guess
a blazer sounds like an idea although idk how much dancing ill acomplish in a blazer also wouldent that look a bit formal for a club ? idk just asking ?
unfourtunatley heels are also not an option as i am too clumsy and never learned how to walk in them not to mention i am mortifyed that i might break them or look like the towering ogre im already taller than most of the guys i know at 5'6 .... i can only imagine what a pair of heels will make me look like , =( yeah i thought of a cocktail dress to unfourtunatley they are mostly sleevless and i have no Ross's near by im truley panicing what if i cant find anything to fit ... slinky dresses seem to emphasise my lower abdomen .... not a good look for me ....
i was wondering this is not exactly imressive ? http://www.forever21.com/product.asp...e=3&pgcount=25

Can't you do the sexy halter thing with black pants rather than jeans then?

Yes, if they are dress pants. As for the blazer, you could take it off for dancing. I've worn a velvet blazer to a club before and done just that. If you go with that forever21 skirt, definitely wear something with sleeves up top, and not too low cut bc that is a short skirt! But could be cute with dressy flats.

maybe something like this? http://www.forever21.com/product.asp...4382055&Page=1
I think bodycon looks great on curvy girls, and it has sleeves and would emphasize your bust. Maybe you could find something similar in a dressier print/black fabric.
or this: http://www.forever21.com/product.asp...e=3&pgcount=25
(except the model's a$$ is basically hanging out of it)
oh no. I have a shopping problem and should not be on this website. now i want like a million of these dresses.

My go-to pants are black leggings if I'm trying to play up a beautiful top and don't want to draw too much attention to the lower half.
