oh my god forestroad i LOVE the corset style trench dress but my 38 DDD ;s aint fittin in there for sure ..... i only get away with stretchy styles at forever 21 .... other than that it wont fit ... but i do LOVE THAT TO PEICES like im almost salavating for it thats how much i like it ...  to bad about my bust ... the other dresses i liked particulary the bandage dress in bright blue but arnt hips and a$$ required with those style of dresses to ensure that i dont look like a line backer with broad shoulders and a big bust and no hips and butt ...??
as for the skirt that i posted .... i was going to wear it with a form fitted dark hued top some jewlery and flats ... but is this 'impressive' ?
why oh why couldent the dress code just be sexy ..
the only reason im stressing this so much is because evreytime i go to the club i never see anyone dressed ... badly ... so why would they put dress to impress ?? it makes me wonder if they want me to crack out the ball gowns? lol
as for the leggings as go to pants ... my legs are great and all but then all the outfit falls squarley on what top im wearing.... i hate the upper half of my body my shoulders are too broad for a girl my bust is entirley too large and i have god awful arms ... ugh this is such a pain in the arse i wish i could be invisible sometimes

Haha I think "dress to impress" is just something clubs say and isn't code for a particular dress code--just no dressing down. Then again, I live in VT where you can wear Carhartts pretty much anywhere.
I like the outfit you described with the skirt, top, flats, and accessories, and I think it fits "dress to impress"
As for looking like a linebacker in a dress like that, I think you'd definitely have to try it on. I have no a$$ and just got a bodycon dress that I really like and think makes me look curvier on the bottom.

forestroad i think you and i could be very good friends it sounds like you also like shopping (hence you provided links which proves you do like shopping else you wouldent be bothered to look ) i LOVE shopping the more weight i loose the more i love it .... actually loosing weight is costing me alot of shopping money .... anyho !
i found TWO great outfits one was a black cap sleeved shirt that is v necked i bought a red lace cami to wear under it so it wouldent be to low i dont like reaveling chest and legs thats a little too much for me its one or the other .... and a skirt much like the shape of the one i previously posted its tierd so it gives me a nice hour glassy figure makes my hips and butt look proportionate to my boobs .... this skirt is a lepord print skirt and i bought some suntan hose and some red patent leather flats .... and it was so cheap the shoes were 10 dollars the Black V neck shirt was like 5 dollars the cami was 12 dollars and the skirt was 10 dollars ... the whole outfit was less than like 40 dollars i couldent belive it !and of course i can mix and match it with other things .... so its really worth it !
and then i bought a cowl neck mini dress is SUPER short but in good taste the neck is high cut and it really downplays the girls which i LOVE its black with a medium sized print on it ( paisly in hot pink teal and bits of silver ) i bought a wide cinch belt for it in black with silver studd detailing and black sling back kitten heels some silver and black bangles and a pair of hoop earrings the dress was 10 dollars the belt was like 10 dollars the jewlery was stuff i had and the shoes where 10 bucks ... i SO lucked out i just hope this is impressive and they did not mean evening wear cause then i will feel super out of place
i guess i was worried for nothing the best part is .... i didnt have a hard time finding things to fit me .... i freak out evreytime i have somewhere to go ... i guess its not that big a deal after all ....

i go to clubs in san diego every so often, so i feel like i have a pretty good understanding of what they mean by "dress to impress"
i like that first skirt, the black layery one. that would be cute on you because you aren't hippy (i can't pull those off). that skirt is super short tho, so i'd pair it with heels and black leggings or tights. on top you can wear a dressy top tucked in.

usually dress to impress means no jeans, and it means the ladies must dress sexy! the skirt you're wearing in the pic you posted is good, and add a nice top and heels, and you're good to go!

Haha yes I am a total shopaholic, since i"m more comfortably in straight sizes. But it's an appreciation that I think will carry over if I'm ever maternity or plus-sized again. My 3fc blog has basically become my outlet for that.

just updated to say i will post a pic of the outfit i went with when i get home ( at work now ) , i will say i loved my outfit ... up untill i got to the club..... then i felt fat & ugly all over again , on the upside i thought i was the best dressed bigger girl ... i seem to look good in pictures when im alone when i take pictures with other ppl .. not so good ... youll see what i mean ....

Love it! I am so into clothes & I was so impressed! Did u watching dancing with the stars last night? Niecy Nash~(I think thats her name) the lady from Reno 911 & Clean house was carrying on about wanting to keep her curves and not lose her weight for the dance show cause she want to keep her curves...She is super cute built though~ANYWAYS to make a long story short....You are built like her ~SO BE PROUD GIRL! I think you look AWESOME and definitely the best-dressed of the three--you rocked that outfit and if you project confidence (which is easier said than done, I know), no one is going to think negatively of you for your size...maybe a few insecure losers would but insecure losers are going to think something negative about anyone just so they can feel better about themselves; they're the only ones who could have anything negative to say about your hourglass figure. I think most men and women would admire the kind of shape you have. Keep your chin up--you honestly looked fantastic and if I saw you in a club I would definitely think that girl really knows how to work the club scene. The total package of what you project in person is never accurately reflected in photos.
