Do you ever feel sort of surprised that you're actually losing? It's not that I thought I was a freak of nature or anything that couldn't lose no matter what...I understand how it works, I've lost about 15 pounds before doing the same things I'm doing now, and even though I work out and stay on plan 98% of the time - when I step on the scale and see the numbers going down, I always feel faintly surprised! Maybe I thought it would be harder than this (not that it's easy or anything!), I don't know. But I always weigh a couple times in a row out of disbelief Anyone else?

I've lost about 15 pounds so far, but I don't feel any different. I'm sure a lot of it was water weight. I do reweigh myself to make sure. I don't know when it feels different. Whenever that is, at least we're getting closer!

I only weigh in once a month, and even though I've lost every single month now for 10 months, I still secretly think the previous weigh in was a fluke and expect to see a higher number. I use a balance scale at the Y to weigh in and I'm still wrapping my head around the fact that the big weight now goes on the 150 on the balance bar instead of the 250 one.
