Age: 29

Marital Status: Married

Children/Ages: Piper-6, Callie-almost 4, and Jon-9 weeks

Occupation: Labor and Delivery RN

Pets: German Sheppard-Ariel

Hobbies/Interests: I love reading just about anything I can get my hands on, writing short stories, and some not so short. Love my computer games (I'm a big girlie nerd), being with my family and friends.

Height: 5-7

Eye/Hair Color: Green eyes, Brown hair with red and blond high/low lights

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: 1/1/2011

Starting Weight: 216

Present Weight:212

Goal Weight: 150

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I am done having kids so I want to be able to maintain a healthy life.

Age: 21

Marital Status: Long-term relationship

Children/Ages: N/A

Occupation: Student

Pets: N/A

Hobbies/Interests: Cooking, movies, weightlifting, dancing, music, etc.

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: January 7th, 2011

Starting Weight: 225.4

Present Weight: 223.4

Goal Weight: 150, and then I'll see if 140 and maybe even 130 are attainable!

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: I. love. food. I love going out to eat! I love cooking, too. I love the too-full feeling you get when you eat all of your meal. Something about it is SO satisfying to me.

Following any specific plan: Low calorie, high protein, low fat, low-medium carbs.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I have the support of my boyfriend and my roommates. I'm about to graduate from college and (I think!) get engaged before the end of the year. I want to be healthy before I start my journey as the wife of a very healthy man!

Anything else you would like to share with us: I'm online a lot when school is in session and I'd love to exchange yahoo messengers or AIM's or Skype's with anyone in the forum who is interested in talking. My friends are pretty much all thin ladies who don't exactly understand how scary it was for me to see 225 on the scale.

Present Weight:281.6

Goal Weight: 135

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weight loss: Avoiding sweets.. I love cakes and pastries, especially french pastries -- croissants and macaroons. Yumm!

Following any specific plan:
eat only when I'm hungry plan, and just enough so that I'm not hungry but I haven't stuffed myself plan. Woot! Gone are the days (hopefully) of eating till I'm stuffed and gone are the days of snacking, which where just another excuse of a meal pffft!

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I actually, really, want to look and be normal. I want to walk into stores, pull of things off the rack and be able to wear it w/out a second thought. lately I've recently fallen in love with fashion and designers.. and out of the frumpy fat girl clothes stage. I want to be able to buy more than just designer accessories and handbags. i want to wear the clothes and SHOES lol. I want not to be self conscious when going out with people... most importantly: i want to match my inner personality to my outer self.. i don't even know if that makes sense to some.. but its true

Anything else you would like to share with us: I love meeting new people, love traveling (i'm sounding crazy at this point lol), i love to hang out and just have a good time. Oh, and I'll try most things once..we live only once.

Age: 23

Marital Status: Single

Children/Ages: None

Occupation: Teacher

Pets: Papillon - small dog with huge ears

Hobbies/Interests: Zumba!, reading, watching movies, traveling

Height: 5'5"

Eye/Hair Color: Green/Brown

Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: This round....1/1/2011

Starting Weight: 260

Present Weight: 251

Goal Weight: unsure....1st goal is 180lbs

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: My friends and I have always been big on trying new restaurants/lounges/bars and are usually wanting to go out to eat 4-5 times a week. So far I have been able to say no or direct them to a place where I know I can make good choices. It will be a struggle that I will always have to deal with.

Following any specific plan: I count calories...kind of. I know that I end up between 1500-1800 calories a day, but I don't write it down. I have done the counting calories thing so many times in the past, I am good at keeping track of it.

What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: I have never really gotten on the exercise bandwagon. I had excuses up the butt for why I didn't want to get out and move. I lost about 60lbs before through just diet and some light walking, but this time around I have really motivated myself to get moving. So far this is making a huge difference because I view "cheating" as all of my hard work on the stairmaster or eliptical as being wasted. Plus, I love being sore and feeling my body really changing (even if the scale isnt moving).....I was stretching after my workout today and my calf muscles have already changed dramatically. I feel like I'm working my body from both ends. I can't see the muscle underneath the fat, but eventually the two aspects working together (eating less and working out) will result in an entire new body being revealed as the fat melts off. Yay!
