sarahlynn, I weigh myself all the time too! I think it's good to have a set day to weigh yourself and only "count" that weight. That's how I do it. I weigh myself every morning but as a family we have a weigh in every Wednesday at 5ish and that's the weight I use to control my ticker.
Amber, I had been thinking about it alot lately too. I picked 135 because I went to my aunt's wedding when I was 135 and I love the way I looked back then. (I'll post a picture from it) Between that wedding in July of 2003 and my cousin's wedding in May of 2004 I gained 15 pounds (Not that unhealthy of a gain because I was bedridden for the end of 2002/ beginning of 2003) and was at around 150. If I look at the pictures from the second wedding, I don't think I look like I weigh 3 pounds less than I do now... 3 pounds isn't that much different but I feel like I weigh so much more now.
I also look at pictures of my TWIN
sister last year at 145 and although back then I thought she looked good, now I think that if I looked like that at 145, I would probably continue dieting. I know it's horrible to judge like that because we really have different shapes. Even though we are about the same weight she wears clothes 2 sizes smaller than me.
Lastly, sometimes I look at these women who are my height and are 110-120 and I think, if I stop at 135 how will I ever compare to them? I hate being a stupid fish in the sea
