*~*~Weekly Chat 23rd-29th Nov~*~*
Ok ladies, here we go, Thanksgiving has arrived!
What are your plans for the week? What sort of preparation do you have?
Today I'm going food shopping for ingredients, and other food. My plan for this week is to remain in the lower range of my calorie allowance so that I can enjoy Thanksgiving. I've also been tracking what the calories will be for dinner already so I can see how many I'll have for breakfast and lunch - which I might skip because usually around lunch time we put out snacks like shrimp and crackers. I just need to keep reminding myself - tiny portions, Mary. TINY portions lol.
Have a great holiday week ladies!

Wow I totally failed and posted in the old one. Man where does the time go?
Stella- Wow girl! Size 10!! Thats amazing! Grats! Im totally jealous!! That picnic dinner sounds fun who needs furniture anyways? If your a tool than I am too considering I sat and listened to Christmas music for over 2 hours and was singing Nat King Cole on the top of my lungs haha.
Mary- I was starting to worry about those Turkey flavored cupcakes hahaha Mmm Flapjacks!
Icon- All I can say to that is lol
Chele- Wow what a terrible accident. I couldn't imagine what that poor babys family is dealing with. but im glad you had a good weekend other than that
A little update before I put my rear in hyper drive and clean clean clean. OMG OMG OMG OMG im sooooo excited im down to 3 days!!!! The cake turned out soooo good. Everyone raved over it so I was happy. Another high five for Paula Deen. I think I pinched something in my back because I can go part of the day and be fine then all of a sudden it hits me and wow it hurts soo bad. I havent even been able to work out in the last 3 days but I also haven't been eating much of nothing from still feeling not the greatest. Im hoping today after all the cleaning to atleast get in a little workout but we will see what happens. Im going to have to leave you guys after Thursday and I wont be back till Tuesday. Were leaving for Disney right after Thanksgiving dinner and staying in Orlando till Sunday then my bf goes home on Tues but he atleast gets to stay for my bday which will be a first. Not to mention technically our first Thanksgiving TOGETHER. Its funny when I think about it because we have been together almost 2 years but never actually spent a Thanksgiving together. Hope everyones having an awesome day!!!!!! <333
As far as Thanksgiving goes Im planning on doing alot of the prep work in the next couple of days so the kitchen will be clean and all we have to do is throw the stuff in the oven when the in-laws (Soon to be that is ) get here

Pammy - What, you wouldn't eat a turkey flavored cupcake? LOL. I'm thinking of making this cheesecake cupcake recipe so that I can enjoy a cheesecake for dessert And maybe have a sliver of pumpkin pie too.

Mary- I think I will pass on those Turkey flavored cupcakes lol. Those cheesecake cupcakes sound delish! My sister always brings over pumpkin cheesecake on top of the pumpkin, pecan, and apple pies we already are going to have. AHHH FOOOD! RUN!

I'm making a full fat yummy delicious cheesecake for thanksgiving... My family wouldn't have it any other way... If I changed it I might not be let into the house... Either way... I will enjoy thanksgiving and jump back on track friday... somehow I lost 3 pounds this weekend and I ate outback, wendy's and chinese food... I'm not counting it just yet because I think my scale would have to be broken to show a 3 pound loss after all of that nonsense.... its been a bad weekend... back on plan today

Well, I feel like a tool for other reasons, but thanks all One day I'm just going to have to get courage, darnit.
Icon - Maybe Tyler and I should take a trip to NZ....
Pammy - Thanksgiving at Disney sounds awesome
I have school tonight and tomorrow, and then Wednesday I have a doctor's appointment and its off to NJ. I'm planning on doing really really well with eating - which is easy on Mon/Tuesday because I plan ahead and just carry around a huge lunch box everywhere. Before I leave Wednesday I'm also going to pack healthy snacks for the car so when I get hungry my choices aren't between Wendy's and Roy Rogers.
I've also made plans with my best friend to go to the gym with her this week while I'm home, and we usually go walk around NYC so I'll get some exercise in. I just hope its not raining.
Other than that, I'm not really a big Thanksgiving eater - we have turkey (YAY) and my sister makes twice baked potatoes and some veggies for me. She's also making cheesecake, and I have my pumpkin pie (but I made that semi-low cal, so its not that big of an issue) - the downfall is going to be my cousin's tiramisu - I'm just planning on eating light during the day, maybe just have some oatmeal and cottage cheese, and I'll have all my points left over. Also, if I bring my scale home that will leave me accountable.

Woohoo! Haley, I love losing when I know I shouldn't have. lol. Oh well, a loss is a loss and 3 pounds is so good for such a short time.
I plan on eating pretty cleanly prior to Thanksgiving. Maybe cutting out some of the higher cal items but I'm going to keep it fairly comparable to normal to avoid a huge turkey binge. I plan on not worrying about weight on Thanksgiving and just enjoying a good meal at home with family. That being said, I am not going to use the day as an excuse to go wild. Hopefully I will listen to my body and stop when its stop time.

I can't believe Thanksgiving is here already! My parents are ditching me on the last Thanksgiving before I get married Okay, I'm not that choked up about it ... they invited me to go with, but final papers & exams are next week!
I am making two of my fiance's favorite foods: cinnamon apples & cheesecake for Thanksgiving . (The cinnamon apples are going to be a pain in the rear because I have to peel, core, and dice 20 apples!! Lucky me I bought one of those nifty apple slicer/corer things ...)
Specifically I am making Pumpkin Chocolate Cheesecake from Better Homes & Garden's November issue last year ... mmm
I have decided I am def. counting calories on Thanksgiving ... I have finally made it into the 170's & never, ever want to see the 180's again!
Yesterday afternoon me & my 3 teenage siblings & the fiance put up my mini-Christmas tree in my apartment. I really like a classic looking tree. We string popcorn and I'm starting to realize what a pain it will be to do a full size tree next year. But, totally worth it!

I'm the one with the read sweater on ... We're all in lounge clothes minus makeup (yes they came to my apartment dressed like this ) So much fun

Aw I love your tree!
I'm decorating my dad's house for Christmas the day after Thanksgiving, then putting my little tree up when I get back to my apartment.

I am so behind on chat bc I drove down to Bethesda on Saturday and have been sick ever since. It sounds like I missed some good stuff involving Paula Deen (love her!) and size 10s (are gorgeous!) and lots and lots of tempting thanksgiving stuff. I'm going to an all you can eat buffet at the union club in nyc for thanksgiving, which is awesome but i'll miss being able to lounge around and watch football.
So, my exciting news is my mother took me on a shopping spree yesterday (she NEVER does this...could it have to do with my weight loss? probably) and bought me not one but TWO PAIRS OF LULU LEMON PANTS...I'm over the moon right now. I went running yesterday in my new running leggings which weren't even wet or smelly when I took them off, such is their anti-microbial water wicking power. And can I say that Lulu has the best business practices ever? Complimentary hemming on all their pants? Genious!!! I'll have to post pics of some other stuff I got. It almost made up for her comment about me still needing to lose 5lbs, but whatever, at least I got cute clothes

Forest - I'm sorry you're sick, but that's awesome about the pants
Also, since your a native of the area I'm currently living in, do you have any pointers of where to hike, esp on the 270 corridor? I went to Damascus on Saturday and it was okay, but I'm trying to branch out more.

stella- I wasn't much of a hiker as a teenager, so I don't have too many recommendations. We used to do the Billy Goat Trail a lot, and Sugar Loaf. I think there's some hiking at Cumberland State Park, too. Damascus is nice; we used to get our xmas tree from there but again, not really too much hiking. White Tail is out 270 so there must be some mountains out there, depending on how far you are willing to go. I didn't really become a hiker till I moved to VT, where there are more trails than roads lol. But I will ask my bf (he's from Germantown); he's always been pretty outdoorsy (though mostly offroading in his jeep) and might know some good places.
