stella- :O Sooo...you're sending all that pumpkin pie my way then right? right?
Weather today is drizzly. You know how sometimes you wake up and the humidity is like 2 mm from ur face and your hair where you've been sleeping on it has a sorta damp, limp, crushed feel to it? Its been like that the past few days. I looked up the weather and at the moment we have 99% humidty And its 17 degrees C (or 62.6 F) So it would be lovely if it wasnt raining

I'll send you one lol - how long would that take to get from the east coast US to NZ?
The only "bad" thing in it is the cream, otherwise I used egg whites and pumpkin and spices.
My apartment smells just wonderful. Like chives and rosemary and sage. If I could I would eat the walls.

oh my gosh, I am so jealous of your menu! It sounds amazing!! What are you thinking of doing with the turkey? I'm in the UK so we don't celebrate thanksgiving but I naively agreed to cook a typical roast for an early Christmas dinner for my flatmates and am a terrible cook and will probably end up ruining the turkey!

I just got a turkey breast b/c my oven is kind of small.
I kind of copied Tyler from the Food Network - I took room temperature butter (I know, I know) and chopped up fresh sage and mixed it in there. I washed/dried the turkey, then coated the skin in the sage butter and seasoned it with salt and pepper. In the roasting pan I chopped up onions and carrots and also put some fresh rosemary branches. I wrapped it in foil and its currently in the oven.
The potatoes I'm boiling now, but I chopped up onions, shallots and garlic and sauteed them with non-stick cooking spray - once the potatoes are boiled I'm going to smash them and add in the onion mixture, then add fresh chopped sage, chives and rosemary with some low-sodium chicken broth and pepper. I'm not big into salt, I almost regret putting it on the turkey, but I'll see if it needs it.
And don't say you're going to ruin it! Just think that its going to be the most delicious thing ever, and that's how it will turn out. Its really not that hard (or so I've seen) - you just cook it low and slow. I searched around on the internet for a lot of recipes for this one, and I kind of cut and paste but its mostly Tyler Florence (sage butter). Granted, this is the first one I've ever done, but I've watched a LOT and I KNOW its going to turn out wonderful.
The key to cooking is positive thinking

Stella - I'm glad you got to go for a hike! Omg, you're making me HUNGRY!! I love that about cooking, though, that it smells sooo good in the house
Inaaah- Welcome
We went to the dog park today! I really know better, though, I should have changed into dirty clothes before we went :[ It was soooo muddy and the dogs always jump on you lol. There sooo many cute puppies too My dog is now passed out at the end of my bed lol. I'm ready for a nap, BUT I have my knitting and classwork to do AND my C25K AND my dance workout dvds came so I'm SOOO excited to go try them I think I'll do the DWTS Latin Cardio first and I'll try the Country Line Dance one tomorrow. Maybe my aunt will want to do it with me, she loves latin ballroom!

aw what kind of dog have you? My bf and I have a wee puppy (just three months) and I know exactly what you mean. It's been absolutely chucking it down here and we took her to the park today and I decided to wear a skirt and nice boots....do not ask me why! Spent the whole time trying to get her not to jump on me! She spent the rest of the day recovering and so is now far too hyper!

Inaaah - Awww what kind of puppy? Mine's a 2 year old Sheltie-shepherd mix named Maggie There's a picture of her on page 2 (I think) of the 20-somethings photo album
I decided to try out the DWTS Latin Cardio dvd - omg fun!!! I looove to dance, and that was a really good work out My favorite was the Meringue. I loved Cheryl, but Maksim doesn't teach very will IMHO. Tomorrow I want to try out the line dancing one lol.

Stella- Im totally comming over! Sounds delish!!
Mary- Im glad you liked the tapes I would be scared to even try them because Im not very cordinated and I think I would totally suck at it.
Today I made my sister a cake for her bday tommorow. Its Paula Deens (I LOVE HER BTW) red velvet cake with cream cheese frosting. YUM! Took me FOREVER to make it.
Im still a little sickly so I havent really ate much in the last two days I ended up eating a mug full of chili my sister made and thats all I have had all day. I hurt my back cleaning off the porch yesterday and now I can hardly move. I also havent worked out in 2 days which is totally unlike me but I havent felt good enough to do much of anything. I struggled making the cake as it was so there was no way I could have gotten thru a whole workout.

Pammy - Awww Is there anyone home that can give you a back massage? Or you could put a hot pad on it. I always keep some icy hot in the house - works like a charm!

Mary- NO! The people in this house you have to bribe in some way or another to get them to do anything for you lol. I have an awesome back massager but its kinda hard to use by yourself. So I just end up hurting myself more just trying to do it myself or I end up vibrating my hands off trying to hold it. I told my bf once he gets here Wed. that he owes me 5 months of back massages.

Pammy - Awwww!! Tell them you won't bake anymore cakes for them unless they hold the massager for you! Good thing your BF is going to be there soon! What about a hot compress? You can heat up a wet towel and that always works too. Just be careful to cool it off a little first before you put it directly on your skin (depending on how much you heated it up)

If you sent it by fedex, economy, it would take 8 days. Which is surprisingly short actually. It would also cost you around US $90.87
