skinnywish My Grandma doesn't hardly ever cook, and to be honest, I would rather she didn't. She is diabetic, but hates to eat properly, so she loves to use me as an excuse to overindulge. She knows I've been dieting, and is really proud of me and supportive, but she just doesn't really get it. And Congrats to you for making your mini goal!!!
joyra - A new low!!! Congrats!
Ruby - I hate water retention. It drives me nutts!

I'd love to join too! As of this morning I am 156.8. Next week is going to be tough staying on track. My whole family rented a cabin for a week and when we get together it's pretty much just mindless eating the whole time. Plus my dad is bringing a keg! Not to mention the pails of frozen margaritas, pina colodas and strawberry daquiries that my sister is bringing. For some reason I seem to lose all self control when it comes to food when I'm around my family. But I'm hoping that I can stay pretty active with hiking and swimming and I'll be bringing my 30ds dvd with me. And maybe I'll even attempt to run a bit.

Ruby -- Wow, you're almost "normal"... yay, go you! That is my big goal before coming home to America. I left last August solidly obese and I reeeeally want to come home in the normal range. Might not make it but I'll be close (it's still 19 lbs away... can I lose 19 lbs in 8 weeks? Probably not... but I'll try!).
Operation -- Oh my that's some hefty temptation! Picnics are the worst for me... anything with where I can graze on chips and desserts. And all that booze! I really think part of my WL success is just saying no. In your case, I would probably not say no!
I have more INSANE news:
I lost another lb! 151!
WHAT?!
I am KICKING MYSELF, I can't believe I actually CAN lose weight. I've been doing it all wrong. One week of preplanning 1300 calorie days... I've now lost 5 lbs in less than a week! That's more than I've lost in all of 2009! I wish I'd figured this out sooner but at least I figured it out.

Joyra- Congrats! Yay for figuring things out, better late than never
Operation and CollegeGirl- Welcome!
152 today at the gym, including bra, undies, and wet hair lol. I solidly replenish my water and then some when I work out, so it should be pretty accurate. Plus I had pizza last night and went over my calories !!
I'm a little worried that my weightloss has picked up a bit...8lbs this month is like double my usual. I'm worried about keeping it off and about it being not real. And I like this thread, I don't mind staying here for a while!

Joyra:
YAY!!! Congratulations on seeing that fantastic new low!! I'm so proud of you!
I'm doing what you've been doing. Planning ahead and eating 1,200-1,500 (I give myself a wide berth) a day, and it's getting better results than anything ever has. Awesome method!
I'm 151.4 this morning!!!!! AWESOME number! Pleeeeease 140s! *tries to coax* Heeeere 140s-140s-140s!!! Heeeeere! C'mere 140s! *makes clucking noises*

Hello! I hit 159.5 at my official weigh-in this morning, so I thought it was time to move on to this thread.
I really want to be 154.9 (normal BMI) before my family visits on July 22nd - they are going to be so surprised! I'm so happy to be so close to that mini goal that I'm not even thinking about the 140s yet!

Jelbb-- aaahhh! stay OP through the weekend and I bet those tricky 140s will succumb next week!
Civakas- Welcome! That goal sounds very doable...my "normal" is about 149 so let's get to our normals!!
150.5 at the gym this morning...ack! That was before breakfast, and with July 4th weekend festivities I'm sure I'll bounce back up before I finally break through, but a very OP week next week should do the trick!

Yaaaaaaaaaaaaaay! Weighed in at 157.5 this morning, only 3 lbs til I'm no longer overweight according to BMI.
Also, I went shopping today and got some really sweet pants on sale for $10 at the Gap. As exciting as sale pants are, the more exciting part is that they are size 12s!!! This is the first time size 12s have fit me since my freshman year of college (five years ago). I'm so happy!

I keep fluctuating between 151-154
Its getting so frustrating because I'm working out everyday and counting my points (WW) and I've been in the low 150s for months. GRRR

blackbelt - if you're working out and counting points, the weight will come off! i'm sure all of a sudden you'll have a big drop...the body's crazy like that!
Welcome to all the new 150s ladies!!!
I reached another low today - 154.8lb! I am hoping to be in the 140s by the end of July! Now, off for a hike!

158.5! My first loss in 2 weeks. And last week during TOM I was back up to 161.5. Evil TOM.
I think this deserves a trip to the outlet mall for the holiday sales
Happy 4th!
