I try to go 5 or 6 days out of 7 and usually end up going 4 out of 7 days I vary what i do, my aim is to do a weights class twice a week, and on the other days i like to run or cycle. It keeps it interesting. I'm considering throwing in some work on the rowing machines but i keep forgetting once im actually there! My work outs usually last 45mins not including cool down time, and the classes are usually 50mins including warm up and cool down
I aim to do 4 times per week but really go just twice, maybe this week...who knows.
Out of warmup I have 20 mins running on the threadmill, 10 mins on some arms bycicle, 10 mins on the stepmaster and 10 mins rest on the bycicle...then shower!
I go 5 or 6 times a week. I do four days of cardio and two days of weights.
Cardio is at least 35 mins- the weekends I do an hour
Weights are 30-45 mins- hitting each muscle group
I go 5 days a week. I do about 50 minutes of cardio and the sauna. I don't do any weight lifting there because I do calisthenics at home. Push ups lunges jumping jacks, etc.
I do about 5-10 mins a cardio for a warm up. I then go do some free weights and target certain muscles (so say on that day, I target upper body). Then I go back to cardio and do another 20-40 mins. If I have time, I try to go into the steam room for about 20 mins just to relax.
The next day I go, I target the lower body muscles. Then the next day, it's just cardio as I want to give my muscles a break.
I try to go most days, most weeks. This usually ends up being 4-5 days a week. I focus on cardio at the gym- 20 minutes on the elliptical and then 20-30 minutes on the treadmill. I might do about 10-15 minutes of strnegth training, but I do most of that at home via yoga and free weights.
This doesn't figure into morning jogs with the dog, hiking on weekends, etc...
I go five to six days a week. The "rest day" is for yoga class, which I take elsewhere, through an Adult Ed program, and a swimming class, which, again, I take through the local community college.
When I started exercising, I started too hard, too soon, with power-walking & then running, and I injured my foot. I discovered I had arthritic joints in my big toes & to compensate, I was striking hard with my heel, which had given me plantar fasciitis in my left foot.
So I went to the gym, seeking ways to exercise that weren't so hard on my feet. (Also, I live in the Northeast, so I didn't want the weather & early dark to dictate whether I'd be able to exercise when wanted to.) The stationery bike, the elliptical & the rowing machines are my friends. I hope, through my swimming class, to attain better form & eventually to swim laps.
I try to do an hour a day, wherever I am & whatever I am doing.
Since my plan is only three times a week, I only go three times a week. Which sucks, because I like going to the gym. But I usually only do cardio at the gym about 40 to an hour. And the other days I do the strength like my 30DS.
I have lacrosse practices or games 3 to 5 times a week and I try to go to the gym at least two days a week, preferably more. Whenever I'm at the gym I use the elliptical or treadmill for sixty minutes. If I'm feeling good I'll stay longer, but I always switch machines at least, when I hit the sixty minute mark.
I try and get to the gym 4-5 times a week...sometimes less, sometimes more. But I'll start with a warmup then focus on either legs or arms depending on the day. Then I'll do tons of ab-work and end my workout with 45 minutes of cardio and 5-10 minutes cooldown.
Some days I feel less energized, so I'll just do a class instead like pilates, yoga or spinning. I'd love to start up kickboxing, too!
I also try to incorporate some other types of activities with friends like swimming, tennis, ultimate frisbee, etc.
It depends on 1. Am I feeling like total crap? 2. Is it nice outside? If I'm feeling good I will go more often. If it's warm and sunny outside, I'll go less because I'd rather be outside. So..uh, 2-4 days a week.
I usually go to the gym at least 4 times a week....usually more like 5 or 6 though. I usually do the elliptical for 35-50 minutes, intervals on the bike for 20 minutes on shorter elliptical days, and/or some weight machines in the circuit room they have set up.
I would like to do some more weight work than what I am doing, but I'm comfortable with the setup they have in the circuit room and know what I am doing in there as opposed to the other weights that are located upstairs.
I do my strength training 3x a week and my cardio 3x a week. So 6 days but sometimes I combine the strength/cardio into one day so it'll lower the number of days I go.
I try to go 4 times a week, and do 20-30 minutes on the eliptical, some weights, roughly 15 minutes of difft machines, and then 20 minutes on the treadmill....but if I do 30-35 minutes on the eliptical, I won't do the treadmill.
