Default Starting out--snack help!

Today means I've been on my "new path" for exactly one and a half weeks. Not long, I know. And dear goodness, I'm already starting to want to bail. So here's my question:

What are some healthy snacks that you all eat that kill cravings for sweets (specifically chocolate), salts, or cheeses? Maybe that's overly optimistic. Any advice for snacks that maybe aren't the absolute healthiest, but that will not make me feel intensely guilty after?

And how in the world can I motivate myself to keep going?

These are the snacks I lived on:

Quaker cheddar cheese rice cakes
vanilla yogurt mixed with oatmeal and bananas
garlicky green beans (green beans, garlic seasoning, spray butter)
100 calorie snack packs
graham crackers
triscuits (with whipped cream cheese if you have calories for it)

That's all I can think of at the moment, but they're all really good...

I love laughing cow cheese. One wedge is 35 calories. You can spread it on sandwiches, crackers, veggies and fruit. I will admit i wasnt fond of fruit until i started working out and cutting out high fat sweets. Fruits can be extremely sweet and hit the spot. Right now plums and peaches are great. I also buy light butter popcorn and sprinkle it with garlic powder and red pepper flakes.

For the motivation i have friends, family, and 3 fat chicks. A support group is my motivation. Everytime i feel down or want to give up i talk to friends and family. I also come to this site and look at people who made their goals. That helps a bunch.

Whenever I feel unmotivated I look at pictures of myself at my high weight. On one hand I know I'm losing weight so that I'm healthier, but on the other hand there aren't really tangible reminders of having trouble breathing while walking up a small hill, so pictures are really the best reminder of why I'm doing all of this.

Also, once you go down in pant sizes, trying on old pants that are now way too big is a great motivator.

I recently found out about 100 calorie pack popcorn bags. I keep a stash of them at work and eat them when I get hungry. I also keep low fat string cheese ( 65 calories) in my fridge and fruit on hand.

I like special K bars. They have vanilla, strawberry, and chocolate and are only 90 calories a bar. My personal fave is the strawberry one. The 100 cal packs are also good, esp. if you crave chocolate because they have so many options.

I also just found these things at Costco called veggie sticks. They are like puffed wheat snack with about only have the fat/cals of regular chips. And they are actually yummy! You can have 38 sticks for 130 cals.

banana is actually very sweet, and it can help.... just need to control yourself and eat 1 at a time or else .... banana is quite high in calories compare to other fruits.
I like jello, yogurt.
I also mix yogurt, fruits together to make a combo. They are pretty good and also sweet
Hope it helps.
