Anything else you would like to share with us: hmmm i began losing weight on my own last february and lost 23 pounds and then gained them all back and then some due to bad choices i made while going through a really bad break up and using the depo provera shot. i know what its like to be an emotional eater and to make bad choices due to the things that life throws at you. and i know that unhealthy food comforts during those moments but when you look in the mirror and see the damage you have done to yourself for whatever reason it all feels so much worse. i dont want to wear my pain anymore and i hope that others will begin shedding the evidence of their struggles as well.

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Inertia. My body likes to sit, while my mouth likes to move (eat). I need to reverse this.
Following any specific plan: Calorie counting + Daily exercise... I'm doing at least 20 minutes of exercise a day, different routine everyday and toning exercises. Calories are below 1500 right now and I'm working on lowering that a little more.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: My boyfriend is really supportive, tells me to quit eating and go to the gym, even when I don't want to hear it. I've never tracked calories so consistently. I don't snack much anymore. My portion size is getting better and better. I'm exercising even when my muscles are still sore (rather than working out and taking 3 days off). And I am obsessed with 3FC! If not for this site, I would've given up a long time ago. I haven't lost much so far but it's more than I would've on my own.
Anything else you would like to share with us: I'm in a new country and city and dieting by myself has always been a weak point for me so it's been incredibly helpful to check in with everyone at 3FC, especially the 20-sthgs!

Starting Weight: I am currently 170

Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: Living on campus with not a lot of food choices / not having my own kitchen to cook, my friends constantly around me with their bad eating habits, smoking, not enough motivation to walk to the campus gym in the cold and rainy weather
Following any specific plan: I already eat healthy its just that I eat way to late at night and sleep too much as well as not enough exercise so this time around I plan on a small workout everyday and to try and cut out carbs. I am also considering the lemonade/cayenne pepper/syrup flush thing.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: Going to make as much of an effort as possible to go to the gym and if not work out in my small dorm room, get motivation from my roommate who does work out everyday, limit sweets which have been my downfall in the past, I have also cut out soda completely for a month now
Anything else you would like to share with us: I have been on and off diets since I was probably 12 years old, my mother has always been obsessed with my weight and what I eat which has led me to overeat or not eat, to the point where I have not been able to go a day without thinking about food whether it be good or bad. I also have been on and off birth control for the past year which I think has contributed to my weight gain.
Hi all! I joined earlier this week and thought I'd jump right in and join the chatter!

Height: 5 feet, one-and-a-half inches (because that half counts!)
Eye/Hair Color: Blue/blondish-brown
Starting Date of Weightloss Journey: Ummm, that would be August 17th, but I got off track and gained back 5 of the 12 pounds I had lost. So I am back on track and starting at 183 lbs.
Starting Weight: 190 lbs.
Present Weight: 183 lbs.
Goal Weight: 127 lbs.
Biggest hurdle to overcome in weightloss: My resistance to exercise and failure to take advantage of the fantastic gym on campus, coupled with my Southern girl's love for sweet tea. Like, a 500 cal/day addiction to the stuff.
Following any specific plan: I refuse to diet any more than simply cutting out soda and tea while adding water, fruits and veggies. I plan on exercising at least 5 times a week. I have a few workout DVDs, the My Fitness Coach game for the Wii, a jump rope, and free access to a fabulous gym. There are no excuses for me not working out.
What is different this time in your weight loss efforts than in the past: In the past, I have always focused on dieting and that never worked for me for longer than a couple weeks. This time, I'm focusing on a healthier lifestyle and not deprivation, mainly including exercise. Also, my kids are staying with my mom so I can focus on completing my MA in one year. Therefore, I can not use excuses like "I have to buy junk food for the kids" or "I have no time to exercise, I have kids," etc. There are no excuses for me to continue living in this fat suit!!
