Today I wondered what I ever thought would be so hard about this journey... and wondered why on earth I stalled for so long.

What a lovely thread
I have 2 positives today...
1. I was 1.3lbs under my ticker weight this morning.
2. I said NO to a starter at the restaraunt AND switched my chips (fries) for boiled potatoes

I went to my nephews birthday party today at the roller rink and while everyone ate cake, me and dh skated laps. DH suspects I spent a total of 40 minutes skating at a pretty good speed.
Plus, we're getting family pictures taken today and I feel MUCH BETTER.
a big smooch for all my sisterchicks!
ps: dh says I look foxy today. Is that good?

^ LOL that is absolutely a good thing! And I have to agree! I'm lovin' your new hair, and how you just seem to exude confidence in the pictures you've posted lately!
One positive thing about me today is that I'm actually doing some laundry! I have sooo much clothing that I can go for quite some time without having to do any, hehe, but my pants were starting to feel pretty big--and I want to know if it's because they're stretched out, or if I've actually gotten smaller since I bought them! Hehe.
Oooh, and another positive thing is that since I'm washing almost all of my pants today, the only pair that I have left to wear is an old pair of khakis that I never ever wear and haven't even put on for at least a few months... This is a pair that was crazy-tight on me when I bought them a couple years ago, as in, I actually had to lie on the bed to zip them up and everything. Lol. WELL, they are crazy-LOOSE on me now! They were practically falling off, and I actually felt kind of frumpy for having to wear them in public! Ahhh, gotta love a good NSV like that.

Meredith- that is incredible! I love love love when that happens!
leighish- congrats on skipping the cake!
Anti222- I am so happy that your ticker went down!
Jelbb- I totally agree with you! I have been saying for the past 4 months that I would get my act together but I just couldn't do it. I feel fantastic staying on track. I ordered a new tae bo dvd last night and ordered a WW scale online today. I am so excited to lose weight.
My positive is that I cooked healthy meals today and stayed on track.

I went to my parents to try some of my older clothes on (to see if I'd fit them again). Almost everything was either too small, or too short (boobs!), or too childish, or so out of fashion that it was ridiculous. But I kept my good spirits and I am especially happy with the items that did fit (including one super-great, very long, expensive coat).

I decided to get out of my comfort zone today with my eating. I was at the mall and I tried a triple berry smoothie made with non fat frozen yogurt. I figured it would be safe, but it is always nerve racking ordering at restaurants without being sure. Then later, in the dorms I had a small bowl of spaghetti (without sauce, just noodles, the way I like it) a side of asapargus and half a bread stick. When I input everything into the DailyPlate, I'm still under 500 for the day
So basically I had some of my favorite foods (bread stick, spaghetti and fruit smoothie) but managed to stay on point. I guess I'm learning!!

Today, I wore my new leather coat. It was purchased in early September. And you know what? It is too big in the tummy area. Yes girls, that's right, my boobs now officially stick out farther than my stomach!
Can I get a what, what?!?!?!

What, what! :brocolli:
I runned for 30 minutes today. And could do it quite easily. A few months ago, this was a distant fantasy.

LOL what what?!
One positive thing about me today is that I have NOT gained weight as a consequence of the party I went to last night!! WOO-HOO! I had some alcohol, but I didn't follow it with a cookies/ice cream/candy/whatever binge like I usually did after parties last year... That may seem kinda stupid in comparison to all the amazing things you ladies are doing, hehe, but I am SO PROUD of myself!
