Wow... that is terrible. Good friends support, they don't break you down.

Well, if you notice, all the friends in the pictures were on the heavy side too. I'm sure her drastic weight loss was making them face their own issues as well. I think it's one of those things that should start being part of pre-surgery counseling - like someone in rehab for drugs or alcohol is warned that they will have to make all new friends who have interests other than drinking/doing drugs, someone who's activities and friends revolve around food should be warned as well. It is sad, but true friends don't wander off because someone doesn't want to share a cake anymore.

Sure, it's sad. But, here's one of the comments from the video. Whether it's legit or not I don't know, but this person has a point - there are always two sides:

"There is always more to a story than you see on tv. This woman is a manipulative b****, and the way she was treated isnt half as bad as the way she has treated people in her life. (Yes I know her IRL). I cant bring myself to feel even an ounce of sympathy for her."

Like I said. Dont know if it's real or not. But there are two sides to every story. You dont loose friends by being nice or loosing weight. You loose friends by being a bad friend. Dont let this story discourage anyone, everyone is different.
And, I'm sure ALL her friends being big did have an effect.
AND, when you lose weight you gain confidence and some people's entire personalities change. She may have been nice when she was fat, but then maybe something changed, got over confident, and she wasn't nice anymore.
I dont know.
It is still sad.

I had friends that left when I lost weight, and I had a lot that stayed friends. I was the coin "fat friend" and I think I was an ego booster for some people. When I lost weight, some left, but not all. I became more popular with one crowd, but less with a select few. My husband even heard them being catty about how "It's amazing, she was actually pretty under all that fat." When my other REAL friends would tell me they always knew I was beautiful. Some people are just stupid.
