Hey everyone! I'm new to this forum. I've been posting on one for Low Carbers, but it is mostly older people. I'd really like to have some people my age to check in with. Male or female, no matter how much you have to lose, any way of eating, but if there are any Low Carbers out there, that would be great too... the only must is positivity!!!
So, a little about me... I love myself exactly the way I am and hope you do too! (This is beginning to sound like a personal ad ) Anyway... I have about 45lbs. left to lose and eat Low Carb (meaning no sugar, no bread, no potatoes, etc... but I have great recipes for replacements like low carb donuts, oh yeah!) I know a lot of people are anti-Low Carb, but it works great for me and I don't feel deprived. That's always a good thing!
So, if any one is interested, lets get started!!! I'm setting a goal weight for Halloween, one of my favorite holidays, of 125lbs. If you want to set one too, go ahead.
26 pounds by Halloween!!!? Holy Moly; you definitely have more drive than I. I will shoot for hitting 138 pounds. That will be the smallest I have been in years -- I am the smallest I have been in years now, but 138 will be, like, whoa, really trim, svelte, fit -- all the good stuff. Good luck, Heather!
Mamaspank~ Wow, you've done amazing! 57lbs is great! What kind of plan have you been following? I just started on August 20th and have lost 14 so far. I haven't been exercising much and I have an elliptical that I am going to put together sometime this weekend. I definitely think I can hit 125 by then, but I know its going to take some serious hard work... I imagine there will be sweat and tears
sh3l5~ I think you can do it! Just keep that goal in mind and don't focus on thinking you can't. You've come so far already! Your accomplishments so far are great and that last 9lbs should come off by the first of November.
Since I'm a newbie to the site, I still can't post my ticker... I have it on my blog though. I guess I'll have to wait 20 days (that's a little excessive, IMO)
So I'm dressing up for Halloween this year for sure! I'm thinking a pirate...
Well, I started dieting April 7, 2008, and have gone from 184 pounds to 144 as of today. Honestly, I feel wonderful, beautiful -- I haven't felt this way in so long. It's the best feeling to get ready for the day and like what you see in the mirror. I have been doing WW at home. I couldn't afford meetings or the online thing, so I just got the rules from my friend who did go to meetings. If you have lost that much already though, you are doing great on your plan. I could never last on low carb -- I loved the way it made my tummy look though.
Lol, i hear you. I work this haunted house around the 17th of Oct and if I could be like 15 pounds lighter by then - I would be sooooo stoked. I keep losing more and more butt - but the gut needs to peace out.
I know what you mean about having to talk to friends your own age - as much as some of the older ladies are sweet - a lot of them just totally miss my sense of humor and ignore me or get angry.

╚» ♥ I wake up every day with the realization that this is it, that there's only one shot at this life and I can either enjoy the ride and live it to it's fullest and to my highest potential or I can stay the way I am.
