Oh my gosh, how I love GS cookies!! I'm so glad no one came to my door or asked me at work. I'm kind of surprised though. I know quite a few people with daughters in GS. My daughter is a daisy this year. Thankfully they don't get to sell them. I dread next year. I love the Somoas and the Tagalongs. MMMMM!

I see you live in Virginia, Frog. Do you live in a part which has Ukrops? If so.. just wait... within the next couple weeks they'll have their little butts planted outside of Ukrops screwing up your entire food shopping trip!

LoL!

There's a Ukrops, but I've never been there, as it's 35 minutes from my house. I'm sure they will plant themselves in front of Kroger...

Girl Scouts have 100-calorie pack cookies this year!

Yep, they're cinnamon swirl something-or-another. My fiance got them. Of course, he ruined it by scarfing 3 packs in one day, but....

jennyplain--- what an EXCELLENT idea!!! Very diligent of you--- you get a cookie and you're not left with the WHOLE box staring at you.

I'm too frugal for that--- if I spent the money, I darn well am gonna eat that money that I spent! So I just don't spend it (despite how much the old girl scout in me yells "help that poor girl! Don't you remember how it was?")

My health is more important than that girlscout. Sorry chickie!

My freshman year of college I purchased so many boxes that they filled it up in the box they came in...i think i bought about 9 boxes...needless to say next year and every year after the girls knew me...it wasn't until my senior year when i finally said "no"

Doh, I just went to Giant Eagle and saw Tagalongs in Ice Cream, its by Edies. It's only 160 calories for 1/2 cup, so guess who bought it. Yep thats right. Oh the darn tagalongs!

I`m still waiting on the 100-calorie packs my boyfriend ordered me. Other than that I want to stay as far away as possible from all girl scout cookies. I'm pretty sure I could eat 1-2... BOXES of caramel delights in a 24 hour period.

I have very little self control so I have to just stay away.

GS cookies are just evil. I put away about 6 samoas yesterday. It's been a bad week. I blame my DH for buying about 4 boxes!

I am safely out of any zone for girl scout cookie buying. I live on a college campus so there's not too many opportunities to buy any. Thank God.
But i do have a box of Oreos at home doing the same thing.
But I liked the suggestion of each time you eat a cookie, to offer some to 5 other people. That would get rid of them fast.

Once I was having a bad day, my co-worker says "I have something to make you feel better" and brought me a box of thin mints......

I ate the whole box in an hour.....she came back later and had this look of horror on her face. I think she just thought I'd eat a couple. I think she learned her lesson, don't give an overeater a box of thin mints.

Like I said, they are evil. My husband has the rest of his boxes at work.
