Fitness Boot Camp
Okay, I might be regretting this in a few weeks but I just signed up for a women's fitness boot camp!
It's a 4 week program that meets 5x a week (6:30-7:30 am).
This is how they describe the program:
Quote:
Exercises include: calisthenics, short distance running/walking, body weight resistance training, weight training, jump roping, crunches, obstacle courses, PAR courses, hill running/walking, hiking, agility and power drills, sports drills, medicine ball work, stair climbing, partner drills, pilates, sport yoga, surprises and much more.
|
I'm excited but it doesn't start til April 30th!
Hopefully I will see some results - they take all your measurements (and body fat % ) before and after.
Anyone ever do anything like this?

OOOH! that sounds awesome! I bet you will build some really awesome habits and learn great things too. You have my respect for being able to get up that early too- I am thinking about getting up and running before the sun comes up in the summer, but we will see how that goes.
Good luck, and please keep us posted on how you do!

Sounds fun! Though the 6:30-7:30a time would definitely not work for me-- I'm barely rolling out of bed and grabbing my first cup'o joe then
I love the "surprises and much more" and the end
-- but it looks like it has LOTS of variety so will give your body a total workout and keep your mind interested.
Let us know how it goes!

ooooh, I've been wanting to do something like this. I'm waiting til it's warmer, though, because the class I'm interested in is at 5am.
April 30th will be here before you know it. Good luck and keep us posted on how it goes.

Sounds great to me, I'm usually up at 4:30 am doing a 3-4 mile walk every weekday morning.

Thanks for sharing my excitement guys
I'll definately come back and post once it starts (if I survive )
And I'm not too worried about the time... its better than the other session that starts at 530! Sleep is overrated anyway!

this sounds really great, so great in fact that i just looked up something similar in dallas. there's a 'military fitness boot camp' that meets three times a week. i might try this. Will you let me know what it's like on your first class? I'm afraid that if I join i will be close to dying on the first day...j/k not so much dying but close

That sounds like so much fun.
Maybe I'll see if anything like that is available where I'll be this summer....
Have fun though. And won't it be cool to know your improvement in measurements/fat % and everything between start and finish?

Helpmelose - I found it while I was looking reviews on a fitness center on yelp.com - The boot camp was listed there as well, with good reviews!
Wacky droll - I'll definately come back and let you guys know how it goes!
First day is Monday
This Friday I go into to get all my measurements!
