a small victory!
Last night we went to a friend's house for dinner. They always order from a pizza place. My husband and I split a grilled chicken sandwich and salad (low fat dressing) I did not eat most of the bread from the sandwich. Also, my friend Sue put out chips before dinner and brownies afterwards. I did not have any of either! I'm very proud of myself.
I hope my resolve can last. I know I can eat small portions of things, but I really wanted to prove to myself that I could not touch chips or brownies last night.
Thanks for listening-
Sherry

Great job Suzie. For me, it's MUCH easier passing on the chips and brownies all together. And, ummm, yeah - I'm definitely into easier.
Great choice that you made with the chicken.
See, this really is about incorporating better habits into your life. And you are off to a FANTASTIC start. Keep up the good work. Just keep at it. It's sooo worth it.

Great job! Pizza is something I have eliminated because I can't pass it up, and I can't eat reasonable portion, I just keep going because it so yummy, was my top favorite food for years. I don't know that I could have done what you did...

Good for you! Pizza is a hard thing for me. Even if I think I can have just one slice, it almost always turns into 2 (or 3!!)

To me, that's not a small victory -- it's HUGH!! (Because I know how hard a craving/favorite food is to pass up) Awesome job, it's all the challenges we handle well that help us to succeed!!!

Thanks so much!!!
It was especially hard because my friend Sue is one of those rare people that can eat anything and not gain weight..she had chips/salsa, eggplant parmesan, bread, and at least three brownies...sigh....

Great job!
I know how hard it can be passing up the good stuff when you're around people who can eat whatever they want. I have to fight the voice in my head going, if they can eat it you should be able to also.
I try to think that just because a person in thin doesn't mean their healthy. And I want to be healthy so I need to make the healthy choice!
