Default Where Were You....?

Where were you at this time last year?

At this time last year I weighed 27 lbs. more than I do now and I was 2 sizes bigger, I also wasn't working out at all. So even if I didn't do as much as I could have this year I figure I've accomplished a lot!

What have you accomplished in the past year?

Last year at this time I was at 205. I had just started losing again after a plateau from ****. Months of plateauing.

Now I am down 30 pounds and steadily going lower. I hope I can have the same success this year. I would love to be down another 30 pounds at this time next year!

Yay for everyone here!! You are all awesome!

Then: Over 224 pounds (I had already started watching what I ate when I really committed to this weight loss, so I assume I probably peaked out even higher than 224)
Now: 189 pounds (man that feels good!)

Then: Size 20
Now: Size 14-16

Then: Dreaded going out in public because all of my clothes were too small
Now: Look forward to dressing up and going out!

Then: Scary random chest pains (even went to the ER about it)
Now: None!

I'm sure there is more, but this sums up my major achievements weight wise

Last new years I was about 50 lbs. heavier, eating absolute GARBAGE and plenty of it, the chocolate and mcdonald's and candy I consumed makes me absolutely sick to think of!

Thru it all tho, thick or thin, i like to think i maintained my dignity, I was never one to scarf down crap in the car, or secretly, no hidden wrappers etc. It was out there for the world to see for better or worse. I also maintained a good sense of humour about the whole thing. No sense crying, cuz no one cares LOL. It's MY fault that crap ended up on my *** and MY hard work that got it off....bye bye!!!

2007 was a good year, the year I "grew up" and faced food for what it is and is NOT, and i think i made a lot of progress.

I'm hoping when I fill this in NEXT year, I'll say I'm down another 60!

I was about 55 pounds heavier than I am now and wearing a size 12/14. I now wear a size 4/6! I was walking about 3 times a week - now I walk everyday! I started my new life in October so I was on my way by this time last year, but it's really nice to reflect on just how far we have come.

I agree with Trazey - 2007 was a great year! I wish I could say I never ate in secret but I used to do it all the time. I really think I believed that if nobody saw me eat it I didn't have to count it! I've learned so much about myself in the last year. Not all of it was pretty, but I've grown so much and you guys here have been such a major part of my success.

Last year at this time I was a complete mess. Morbidly obese, bad attitude, and pretty much just waiting around to have a health crisis of some kind.

This year, down 108 pounds, energetic, enthusiastic, and still basking in the compliments from over the holidays. My mom who hadn't seen me in 4 months said I didn't look just thin, I looked fit. And she's right.

Really my favorite year in a long time.

This time last year, I was gorging myself before I began my New Year's resolution to lose weight. Well, I did lose....30 pounds. This year....I find myself gorging a bit again...in preparation for recommitting to my weight loss journey. I'm thankful that I was somewhat successful as I did lose some weight and keep it off. However, how much did I really change if I find myself gorging again? Sometimes, I get really frustrated with myself.

A year ago I was at work, gorging on a box of turtles that was delivered to my empty office over the holidays. Today I'm over 60 pounds lighter and successfully made it through Christmas while maintaining my current weight

This time last year I was thinking I would never be thin and healthy again. The doc was telling me nothing you can do about it until the meds are out of your system and even then you might take years to lose the weight if you ever get it off. I was depressed, I was hating how I looked and felt.

Now in 33 weeks I have lost 39lbs. Not a lot but half of what I have to lose. I feel great about myself. I don't hate how I look and I feel so much better than I did. I have learned a lot about myself. I have willpower, I am worth the effort and time it takes to become a healthy person. I exercise and I have fun doing it. I have found so many people here that always willing and ready to give ideas and support and advice. It has turned out to be a great year.

Last year at this time, I hadn't even started my healthier lifestyle. I started on June 30, 2007 and have lost 47 lbs since then... I am absolutely thrilled about this!

Last year at this time, I barely had a passing acquaintance with a vegetable. Now I am spending more time experimenting with new veggies and plan to try even more this coming year.

Last year at this time, I never thought I would ever lose the weight. Now, I know I can.

Last year at this time, I had absolutely no support not even from myself. Now, I have 3FC and I love you girls (and guys)!

I was about 235 pounds (probably more), out of clothes that fit, and still gaining, partly from the anti-depressants I was on. I finally got off the anti-depressants shortly after that (and I hope to never see them again.) I started cooking for myself in February and lost a little, and in August I started running and have lost 33 lbs from that so far.
