Those holiday pounds won't get us down!
Hello my lovely ladies. It seems like so long since I have been here. Life has taken it's toll on the scale, and I have gained 7 pounds (from my low of 182 back in October). Bad decisions + hectic schedule + stress + holidays=weight gain. But hey. That's okay. I have still lost 35 pounds. I can stilll lose more. I am not going to give up and gain evey single pound back. And I hope all of you other ladies who have let a few pounds slip back on this holiday season won't give up either! We have come too far to go back now
Big to everyone! I missed you guys!
Mary

Definately. Although I relented after I hit my Christmas goal. As of my last weigh in, I only gained about 3 pounds(I lost, then gained, lost and gained, and who knows this Sunday) from my lowest. I think that this break was good for my body to adjust to my new smaller body. I know my aunt swears I look thinner/tighter than last time. ^_^ I think the missions from 3FC will be intergral for be getting back on track. I'm already ahead of my projections(to keep me going, I do estimates of when I will reach goal). We can do this. Most people don't loose the holiday pounds but we will, so we are ahead of the curve.

hey, it's great to be positive! a lot of "holiday weight" is water weight, if you can get it off quickly after the holidays. over the last week i've been everywere from 191 to 183......i wouldn't be worried about a couple pounds... our stats are very similar (my HW is more than yours, but we're around the same weight now and height wise i'm only an inch taller than you)
stress and a hectic schedule can get to you, but i see that they're not getting to you, which is great! keep it up!

yah & welcome back!
I managed to lose weight over the holidays - not for any other reason than I stayed away from everything in order to gorge myself on my top priority, which was Mom's Turkey Dinner!! and cheesecake! heheheh

Yeah, I'm thinking it's water weight too. One week I drank and gained 4 or so. Then, the next week I dropped around 8 when I got back on sorta plan!

I love the positive attitudes that you guys have. I for one can't wait to get back to my normal eating habits! I'm sick of all of the sweets that have been around my house calling my name everytime I walk by them (I love sugar cookies). I let myself eat whatever I wanted on Christmas day and I really surprised myself I didn't do half bad I was still pretty sick to my stomach from all of the rich food. I won't be doing that again for a long while. I agree that we have all come way too far to ever turn back again. We can do this!

Hi Mary. It's good to hear from you.
We're ALL going to stray from time to time, that's inevitable. The key is to GET BACK WITH THE PLAN. Don't let it spiral out of control. You know the incredible benefits of weight loss and a healthy lifestyle. You've learned so much on your journey and I'm sure you will be implementing those behaviors once again. Good luck to you!

I also gained 7 pounds over the holidays. I let myself totally go off of my eating plan from Thanksgiving up to Christmas. I told myself that I'd get back on plan the day after Christmas, and so far, I have! The neat thing is that I've already dropped about 4 of the pounds, so I think some of it was water weight after all.
I am feeling so determined and like another poster said, most people that gain after the holidays don't lose it, so we are all on the right track!

Yesterday I was 223... today I was 226... then I stepped on the scale again this morning and it said 229... Took a shower and stood on it soaking wet... 226 again.
