Wow! You guys really got carried away! Hope you don't mind that I peeked in and started a new thread.

Food has been going much better this week. I have really been working on it. It really takes a conscious effort on my part to make things happen. Of course that sounds really stupid, like you wouldn't have to be 'conscious' somehow. Oh well, I think you know what I mean.

I made Syn's apple salad tonight. I've been really dying to have some of that. It is soooo good. So I broke down tonight and made it. YUM! I also grilled salmon on the old George tonight. I think I've got my spices down where everyone enjoys it.

Just about the time I think I'm going to have a 'free' day, the appointments jam up. Tomorrow was looking really skimpy, but now all of a sudden I have a full afternoon.

I had lunch with my one foster sister today at a stir fry place and I'm having breakfast tomorrow with my other foster sister. It's nice to keep in touch with them.

Just a quickie on the subject of muffins. There is a brand out there called Krusteaz. They make a fat-free muffin mix as well as pancake mix. The muffins come in apple, blueberry, banana and a couple of others that I don't remember. All you add to the mix is water. They are awsome! They are 2 WW points a piece in a regular muffin tin, but I make them in those mini muffin tins and they're 1 point a piece. And I'm really sorry, but as I'm typing this I have a weird feeling like I just told you all this recently, sooooo, if that's the case, forgive me about this too.

Guess I'll let you go. I'm still not having time for the personal replies, please excuse. Love to all.

Arrow Warning... contagious person here.. LOL

Here I am again. And I am still floating on cloud nine.
I hear I am contagious... so listen at your own risk.
Trust me... it is great when you don't cheat.

I am sooooo close to being done.
My hubby called and told me how beautiful all of the azaleas were around town and he suggested going to a nearby town that has an entire HUGE drive thru park done in azaleas. They also have our favorite Mexican restaurant. So, who could resist.... not me.
Actually I wanted to stay home so I could watch "Friends" season finale ... and finish my curtains... BUT... I said... "2cute... it is just a tv show ... and those curtains can wait one more day. Get outside and enjoy the beauty of LIFE." I had to keep telling myself that all the way there. LOL.
I have such a compulsive personality... once I start something I have single vision until it is done. Of course... I am also a procrastinator. LOL... a contradiction I know. LOL
Anyway ... the flowers were very pretty and the food was GREAT!!!

I am very happy with my eating there. I ordered my favorite but did not overeat. And only ate maybe 10 chips and dip. We left chips in the bowl. We have NEVER done that before. LOL

Thin... I have a mulitple choice question for you. Which would you rather have me do.....
1. read... but not post
2. read... but write only if I can reply to everyone.
3. read and write just what I have time for.
Which do you choose for me????
Now apply that to yourself.

Baylee... your walk around the lake sounds so nice. That could also be contagious... I love the lake.

Theresa... I hope your ear is better by morning. Be sure and keep us informed.

Michelle... that 4 lbs was just a temporary detour. Now you are going to get back on the road to recovery and forget about the time lost during your detour. There is nothing we can do about the past expect learn from it.
Andrew sounds like such a sweet little boy. I love hearing stories about him.

Luckylady... I don't have a scanner to post pictures. Maybe that is something I can ask for Mothers Day. I definitely have to get this room done so hubby doesn't think he can use it for Mothers Day. LOL

mary... don't work too hard. Make sure you save time for us too.

It has been fun visiting ... but I have to look through a bunch of photos. This will take me hours reminiscing. LOL. I bought 4 new picture frames on clearance. Regular $12.00 for $2.88. They are really really nice and will look very nice in my new bedroom.
I should definitely be done tomorrow. Cross your fingers and toes.
Tonight hubby hung all but one item on my walls. He even said how nice it is looking.
I better be done... I have to babysit overnight about 5pm so I better get busy early. I certainly won't get anything done with a 2 month old, a 20 month old and a 10 year old here.

I could never had made it thru this week without being on program. You guys have been a true inspiration to me.
Physically ... if I had been overeating I would be drossy and lazy.
Emotionally... I would have been depressed and full of self hate which leaves no room for joy.
Spiritually.. I would have been hopeless ... instead of grateful and excited about life.
I hope this excitement for my program and my recovery is contagious.... I hope all of you catch it too.

I am really going now. See you all tomorrow.

Hi everyone,

How was your day? I was high as a kite today. I weighed in at 239lbs. Two pound loss. I haven't seen 239 for two years. Under 239lbs might be 10 years ago. Heading into virgin terrority. I did weightlifting today and it really releases some kind of chemical in me. I get very hyper all day. I came home and finished the yard. I'm looking forward to the weekend. This weekend we're going to a fair called the Ulupalakua Thing. It's held on the upper elevations of our volcano on ranch lands. Actually in a vineyard. We have sampling, crafts, music, cooking demonstrations. It's a wonderful event. It's small and intimate, but most of all the view is to die for. It's totally unpopulated. I'll write back with the details Saturday evening.

Have a wonderful Friday, I know I will

Good morning...where is everyone? come out come out wherever you are!!

I had a great breakfast this morning. I had and egg and 2 egg white veggie omelet with tomato, scallions and baby bella mushrooms and 2 T of reduced fat cheese, 2 slices of beefsteak lite rye toasted with butter spray and an apple. All for 6 points. It was very filling. Now if I could just keep myself busy till lunch I will be on a roll! I HAVE to stop this snacking all day long thing. Even though its low in points I am not getting the nutrition I need.

2Cute I think you asked how old my son was back a bit...he is 19 months old. He is a joy except when he doesn't listen to me! Basically he is a good easy kid. But he has his days! I found him on the floor again this morning. His door isn't opened any further so he is either falling out of the bed (its low) or just getting out and laying on the floor. I figured if he was falling out that he would wake up and cry. I would hear him for sure because our doors are right across from each other and his door is not closed all the way. So he must be just getting out and laying on the floor. Poor little guy...he will soon realize that his bed is more comfortable.

Malia...thats great getting into virgin fat now! I can't wait till I can say that again! I am determined this time to get it off. I just need to get out and walk again. That helped me alot the first time I lost the weight.

Thin...you must share the apple salad recipe with us! Syn hasn't been on much if at all since I came back so I didn't get the recipe. Always need different ideas to get the fruits and veggies in!

Well...today is Facials, Fingernails and Fun day...since I have no fingernails left and not into the facial thing this morning...that leaves only FUN and for our FUN today I am going to clean up the kitchen, make my zero point veggie soup and then Andrew and I are going to make fishing bait for daddy to go fishing tomorrow then we will go outside this afternoon and Andrew will play (he LOVES it outside) and mommy will sweep the patio, plant the eggplant and clean off the table and chairs and clean the chair cushions! That could count as exercise can't it? I sure hope so!

OK ladies, I better get started...you all have a great OP day and I will be back to check in on you all...so you best come out and talk to me!

Since I can't rake (snowing all day tomorrow is the forecast) I will be tackling closets!!!! UGH....but I will be happy when they are done.

So, 2Cute what room is next?

Hi everyone! Just a quickie before I leave for work. I've been procrastinating all morning and now a couple of the jobs I've intended to do have not gotten done.

2cute: You sly devil! I know what you were up to with that multiple choice question! You know the answer, and I get the message!

Here's Syn's apple salad recipe. YUM!

Syn's Apple Salad

1 Granny Smith Apple, cut into bite size pieces
1 Fuji Apple, cut into bite size pieces
1 cup mini marshmallows
1 cup dry roasted peanuts
1 can crushed pineapple, in juice
1 pkg. fat-free, sugar free vanilla instant pudding
1 small container fat-free Cool Whip

Put cut apples into a large bowl. Pour can of crushed pineapple with juice over the apples. Stir in instant pudding powder, mix well. Add marshmallows and peanuts, mix well. Add container of fat free Cool Whip, mix well.

Makes 8-9, 1 cup servings. 1 WW point per serving.

Note: You can use any two apples, I just like the ones I listed.
You can also use chunk pineapple if you want a chunkier salad. Sorry, but I don't have the nutrition info, just WW points.

Gotta go. Hope to see you all later.

Angry HOWDY !!!!!

Hey girls... I am here.. but not for long.
My family has thrown a screwdriver into my plans so now I am trying to clean up the house before I have company... In just an hour or so.

I don't have time to post... but I'm too tired to work. LOL
I have been working alllllll morning. I just had to take a 5 minute break... and what better place to rest than here.

My food is STILL GREAT !!!!
My water is low today. Once the grandkids get here and I can stop cleaning... ... then I will make up the water. LOL

I love you guys.
My daughter and her boyfriend are coming tonight too so that means I won't have access to the computer.
Plus the grandkids are spending the night.
I will sneak in as often as I can.
I wish I was going with Malia... it sounds soooo wonderful.

Yummy! That apple salad sounds syn-ful!! And its only 1 point per cup>? Even with the marshmallows and peanuts? I have everything except those two items and since I am going to the store when John gets home to get some tarragon for my fish with green goddess sauce I will pick those up too!

I keep forgetting to tell you all that I found these sliced almonds that have flavorings on them. I picked one up its roasted garlic flavored. They are 1 point per tablespoon and go great on salads or veggies our even pasta!! I haven't tried them yet...but they have other flavors too like country ranch, parmesean, szechuan, and sundried tomato and basil! They are called Almond Toppers. I love almonds especially in green beans! And salads.

I made my veggie soup today. I used all zero point veggies and had some with a Louis Rich fat free turkey sandwich made with honey mustard (french's) and WW bread. 6 slices of turkey was only 2 points and the bread 1 pt and the mustard 0 pts. So for 3 points I had soup and sandwich. I also had some Miss Merengue cappoccino cookies too for 2 pts. 6 of them = 2 points. And a diet Dr. Pepper...I had quite a bit of food there for 5 points total don't ya think? Now if I could just keep it up like that I would be at goal before you know it!

Baylee...I didn't think you were preaching! Just giving some great advice. I always plan to take andrew in the stroller but I have so much to do that I always put that last and never end up doing it! I did get to wash down the table outside and wash, scrub and bleach the white plastic chairs too. Well 4 of them got done out of 10 only because Andrew kept coming into the water spray and walking in the puddle I was making and getting wet. I couldnt' take it anymore chasing him away so we went inside! I did manage to get a picture of the dog raking the yard! Yes...the DOG! he picked up the rake in the yard and started walking with it like he was raking!

Lucky speaking of closets...I have a few that still need tending too!

Thin thanks for sharing that recipe!

2Cute...did Tina send you her email address by any chance? I want to blast her a new ear!! Where the heck has she been! She deserted us again!

Well I should get my rear off of here and fold some laundry! Talk to you all later today!

Well girls, I escaped the hospital threat!!!!! However, I do have to go to an Ear Nose and Throat specialist here in about an hour and a half. ANYTHING is better than the hospital!!

Sounds like everyone is staying positive!!! To be honest with you girls, I haven't had any choice but to do good with my food! The ears made it so I didn't want to eat much! I haven't been the best with my water, but I've done much better with it today.
You girls have me in the mood for a nice long walk. I think I'll leave early for the doctor, and get a walk around a beautiful park we have here with a small lake in the middle of it with ducks swimming. Maybe that will ease my nerves about the doctor, AND be a good source of exercise?!

I guess I'm getting good at killing 2 birds with 1 stone...my son's asthma was really kicking him in the rear this morning, so I made him an appointment at the same time as mine....I never thought I'd take him for asthma and leave with an appointment to get him tonsils looked out, and possibly removed Thank goodness his appointment isn't until the end of May, so school will be almost out when we has it done.

You know, since today is fingernail Friday....IF I feel like it after the doctor, I might just go out to our local mall and have mine done....would be sooo relaxing after such a painful week!

Well girls, if I'm going to make that walk around the park before the good ole doc, I'd better get my rear in gear!!

I'll try to check in later this evening!!!

Love You All
Theresa

Hello you all!

I am making fish cakes with green goddess sauce! Its a low fat recipe and it is only 5 pts for 1 generous fish cake with 2 T of sauce. Never made them before but I will let you know how they came out and share the recipe with you. The sauce can be used as a salad dressing too and its only 2 points for the whole amount of the recipe which is way more than you need for a salad!

I am also making my little one a grilled cheese sandwich so I better go before I burn it! I have been known to do that from time to time!

Theresa glad you didn't have to do the hospital thing!

Hi Mary!! Never seen the ceasar almonds yet!!

Bye for now! '

Default kids....

Well. my bubble has been burst...I was planning on a quiet evening alone tonight...dh is working overnight, son is camping with the scouts, daughter had plans to go out to eat with friends. I had JUST pulled into my parking spot at Curves, when my cell phone rang. My daughter informed me that she was "kind of in trouble." Heart stops a beat, mind is swirling..."I got caught shoplifting." I was stunned. This child has NEVER been in any kind of trouble. I went to the store, the young manager was very nice as he informed me of their policy not to prosecute on the first offense, in lieu of a $150.00 fine. All for a pair of sunglasses. I said nothing to her til we got home. I asked her to tell me what happened. She went in to the store to buy a battery for her camera. Her friend said to her, "Take these for me," and so she did! I had every intention of remaining calm but I lost it here. AND IF SHE TOLD YOU TO SMOKE SOME CRACK WOULD YOU JUST DO AS SHE SAID???? "Of course not," I was assured, "I've already been in that kind of situation and have refused drugs." THEN WHAT THE **** ARE YOU STEALING SUNGLASSES FOR???? CHEAP THRILLS?? Those thrills turned out to be not so cheap. I am so disappointed, disillusioned and saddened. I can't tell you how much cookies are weighing on my mind in the midst of this. I refuse to make matters worse by eating. She seems truly sorry YEAH, SORRY YOU GOT CAUGHT. and ashamed. I guess if I were to look for a silver lining, it would be that she DID get caught and didn't get away with it. I debated telling dh...knowing what that would bring on. I can't not tell him. She told me that she would tell him herself.

Having gotten that off my chest, I'm going back to work on my closet. She is upstairs, sans telephone and computer priveleges her room should be sparkling by the end of this weekend.

I WILL NOT EAT...I WILL NOT EAT...I WILL NOT EAT

see you later

Default Part 1

Evening everyone! Well, heck, it's morning already! I did fairly well with food today. I stopped at Taco Bell and had their steak quesadillas for lunch. That was high, but for the rest of the day I had fruit and salad. Then tonight I made the guys burgers on the 'George' and I nuked a Morningstar Farms chic patty. I used 1 point buns and made Ore Ida Steak Fries. Let me tell ya, if you haven't tried them, they are really, really good. I spread them out on a cookie sheet and just sprayed them with butter flavored Pam and baked them in the oven. YUM! So far, so good! Water is good, veggies are good. Journalling I need to work on.

I'm going to try to get caught up here so bear with me, some of this is replying to really old stuff.

Katrina: Sorry to hear about your daughter. But you might be right, the silver lining is that she DID get caught. I know this is going to make me sound really horrible but......when the kids were younger I would always tell them that as a mother I always find out. So one evening we were gone and they were home alone, they were probably like 12 and 14. Anyway, somehow they found one of our XXX rated videos and were watching it while we were gone. I'm sure they figured we would never know. Well, that night the VCR decided to eat a tape and guess which one it was??? It actually got stuck and my oldest had no choice but to 'come clean' when we got home. Needless to say, that reinforced that 'as a mother I would always find out!" Lessons learned. * I didn't take the silly string to the B&B, but DH brought a glo stick! Don't ask! * Sounds like you're not at all happy with your job. Some soul searching outside of your 'comfort zone' might be in order. "Do the thing you fear to do and that's the death of fear." * Congrats on the 3#'s!

Michelle: I'm almost positive that the recipe said 1 point per cup. I've been making it for so long, I'm not sure where the recipe is right now. I think it's because it makes such a big batch that there are only a couple peanuts and a couple marshmallows in each serving. * Can't wait to hear what you're making the fish cakes out of and how they turn out. * OMG, Michelle, your DH IS really spoiled if you get it all together for him. Mine gets up, gets himself ready and comes to my side of the bed to kiss me goodbye each morning. Get up at the crack of dawn.....not this girl!

Mary: Our weather has turned cool again too. Only 53 today and it's supposed to really rain this weekend. * Sounds like you'll be a real working woman come May. There is something to be said for a paycheck, no matter how rewarding volunteering is.

Theresa: I'm glad you didn't get stuck in the hospital and I hope the appt. with the ENT doc went well. Too bad about son and his tonsils too. Sounds like at least one of you will end up in the hospital. That outing for bowling that you had with your son last week sounds really great. It's wonderful that you have such a neat relationship with him. * Your story about your brother and the deer on your front lawn was so great. I'm sure that was his spirit come back to calm you. * I too read you were down from 331 to 226 and was thinking an ear infection might not be such a bad thing!

It won't let me post it all, so back in a minute.....

Default Part 2

2cute: You have been so busy lately. I did the same thing when we redid our room: buy stuff, take it back, buy some more, take more back. Finally you will end up happy, but it can be quite a hassle until then. * I'm kinda glad that you're having some company. It's time to slow down and enjoy the day. Love up those grandkids and hug your future son-in-law and have some fun this weekend!

Baylee: I think I may have given you the idea that I was the foster child. On the contrary, I'm an only child and so when I was young my parents took in foster kids. There are two girls that actually came to live with us for a decent amount of time and those are the ones that I still keep in contact with. One was when I was in kindergarten and the other was when I was in 4th grade. * I'm glad you're doing so well. Your walk by the lake must have been lovely. * That new store you were telling about sounds great! Are you doing the morning walk for fruit and a salad??? * Any more ghost stories??? I love that stuff.

LuckyLadyBug: Bless your heart! Closets! They are bottomless pitts around here that never seem to be gone through. * Pay my own $1, heck, that was his idea of a good date! Sheesh! You are right though, I did get the clock!!!!

Malia: The fair sounds just wonderful! I hope you have a great time. You mentioned the beautiful view, but I can't imagine any part of Hawaii not having a beautiful view. * What a nice story about your dad and your pleasant dreams. * The dress you made sounds lovely. You are one talented lady! * Your secret garden sounds wonderful. You have really been working your butt off. No wonder you're heading into 'virgin' territory.

Andria: Hope your life is evening out a little and you'll come back and visit us more often.

Susie: Refocusing is a really tough task. I've been trying for weeks and I think I may have just gotten there. You will too. Take one thing a week and change your habits one step at a time. * I don't know if you found your tortillas but the ones I buy are from Meijers and they are Buena Vida brand, fat free, in the dairy case.

Jen: Where are you, girlfriend? I know DH isn't due home just yet, is he? Come and check in with us and let us know what's up!

Duckie: Are you out there 'lurking' again? Stop in. You're missed. * I don't know if you got your answer to the banana chips question, but it's 1 oz = 3 points. * Trust me on the B&B trip, if I didn't push for it, we wouldn't have gone. I'll put your 'boring' up against my 'boring' any time.

Grizzlychick: Welcome to our little corner of the site, but what has happened to you? Have you left us already???

Tina: I bet going to Talladega was a real highlight. My guys go to the race at MIS in June every year. But now that you promised you wouldn't leave and not tell us, you've been gone all week again. Where are you????

Wheeeeeee, I'm finally done. I logged on here at 12:05 am, my time and it's not 2:30 am. I went back and read everything.......again. And I think I'm all caught up, can't keep my eyes open, but I'm caught up! Now we'll see if this computer will lose my post or not. *grimace* Anyway, you all have a nice morning. I think I'll be climbing out of bed very late! Love to all.
