Default Loose Ring Help!

My wedding and engagement rings are so loose I am afraid they are going to fall off. They twirl around all the time. I don't want to get them resized yet... I have a lot more to lose. Is there something I can put in or on the ring to make it more snug? Please help, I don't want to take them off but I am out of ideas!

Back in the day when my boyfriend gave me his classring I used adhesive tape wound around the band to make it fit.

You want a ring guard.

Ask your local jeweler.

I purchased a package of rubber tubing ring guards at Claires in the mall called "Ring Snuggies". There were 5-6 in the package for like $3 ish. They work great and don't irritate my fingers at all! I believe the store called Icing carries them as well. Good luck!

I ended up buying a temporary replacement ring because putting things on my rings to make them tighter wasn't working. I'm currently on my second temporary ring.

Good job!!.

My husband and I are goign through the same predicament! Although DH isn't exactly dieting like I am, he's losing extra weight right along with me (He's so very supportive!!)

His ring is so loose that I'm afraid that he's finally going to lose it for good (He has a habit of taking it off on Sunday mornings when relaxing at the computer... not sure why. Anyways, my cat loves shiny things... youg et the picture.).

Mine are quite loose and they keep slipping a bit.

What I plan to do is to get a nice thick chain and wear them around my neck and like Nelie, buy a cheap replacement band until I reach my weight goal

I remember in high school when a guy gave you his ring, it was always way too big so girls used to wrap it in dental floss so that it wouldn't fall off.

Hope that helps!

When I asked my mom this question, she said the girls used to wrap yarn around the bottom of their boyfriends class rings. Looks like you have a few classier ideas than this, though, lol.

Oh and if you go the replacement ring route, it is easy to find inexpensive, nice looking rings. My latest ring is a silver with blue topaz ring that cost $25 from Overstock.com.

eBay's a fun place to find temporary bling, too. I'd go with the soft whatsits from Claire's--far more comfortable than the guards.
