BMI Categories:

* Underweight = <18.5
* Normal weight = 18.5-24.9
* Overweight = 25-29.9
* Obesity = BMI of 30 or greater

I believe over 40 is morbidly obese

Hey dek6,

This was something I wondered myself. Here is a website that I found that has a good BMI calculator (ignore the fact that it comes attached to a surgery website) Anyhow, this one distinguishes between morbidly, severely and just plain obese and all the areas of overweight as well. If you move the slider on the bottom you can see when the cut off for each occurs

oops! forgot the link. Here it is:

You're welcome. And it's pretty fun moving the slider up and down and seeing the figure change size as well (and imagining myself)

but I find it odd that the "ideal body weight" is from ~8 lbs underweight to about BMI 22.5

I'm 5'3" Healthy is 112-141, "ideal" is 104-127?

Yeah I noticed that too. That is kinda contradicting. HMMM.... I look at it this way. I wanna be about 150. And that is like 1 pound over what they say Ideal is. But anything is better than 255. So Im not gonna really worry about it. But they say the range is 122-149. OMG!!! I am 5'7 and would look sick if I weighed 122. Im just gonna go until I feel good about myself
