Good Morning Ladies

Cottage Have a great day.

I am off to work for the busiet day of the year. Managing restaurants in an airport ... How did I think that was going to be fun I actually love it and today is usually fun. Plus the scale has been extremely nice to me (to the tune of 3 pounds in the past week). And I will get alot of extra exercise today.

Have a Fabulous Day Everyone !!!

Morning, Ladies.

Woke this a.m. to a one pound gain (no explanation as to why, and YES, I'm addicted to daily weigh-ins, otherwise I tend to cheat on diets)... grrr....

My counter-attack was a one-hour treadmill ride
Just bummin, cuz it's the day before Turkey day, and I wanted to go into the day feeling like I could have some splurge stuff guilt-free, seeing as I've had an 11 lb loss in the first phase (which ended Monday).

I guess I'll stick to my plan to pretty much continue phase 1 today, as I did on Monday and Tuesday.... hopefully by my next Monday weigh-in (the official one, at least in my mind), there will be a small loss for the week...

Quickie for me too but I did make the coffee.

My plane doesn't leave until 9 PM but I have a haircut, a bit of shopping, a dog to deliver to the Pyper farm, books to return in Ottawa and then Mel to pick up for dinner. Mel doesn't have a car but loves the use of mine when I'm away. It sure saves on airport parking fees plus it's nice to be picked up and dropped off. I won't be in Vancouver until 2:30 AM body time so it's going to be a long day.

Tomorrow I will drive out to Langley to visit my friend LindaBC who has posted in here the odd time. Friday I fly to my darling daughter's town of Nanaimo for a good visit with her until next Tuesday.

Now no fighting! I'll try to pop in when I get a chance.

Happy Thanksgiving to all our American chicks.

Cottage, have fun at Curves

ThinbyJune...good luck to you and your feet today..ouch!!

ThinAgain...ignore the stupid scale. 4 days ago, I was up 2 lbs, then went out to a friends's house for dinner (non SB food) and the next day I was down 2 lbs. Yesterday I was down 2 lbs from that. Scales are just stupid!!!

Me: busy day. Got up at 3 to get some work done so I could take most of the day off today. Have to run back to the grocery store for last minute stuff for tommorrow's feast...then I have to take my Mom to the dr. for a monthly blood test, then back here to get everything cooked for tomorrow except the turkey...but looking forward to doing all that cooking!

Hi Chicks, I am tired and slightly cranky today... was up half the night coughing and hacking..... My eating is terrlble, half the time I don't feel like eating. GRRRR. I am drinking lots but it is making me out of wack, I have been avoiding the scales but I am hoping that I have not gained. I don't feel like I have to that is a good thing.

Hope everyone has a great day. Be back a little later but here is a little funny for ya's

Okay, where's my coffee? Thanks, Ruth!

I stopped by the grocery for a few last minute items for tomorrow, and it's packed already! If there's anything else I need, I'll do without! We have around 30 people coming, mostly family, and everyone is contributing a dish, but there's still an awful lot to do. I have my sweet potatoes baking now, and after they cool enough to handle I'll make my sweet potato souffle and baked corn pudding and get those in the oven. In the meantime, I want to finish cleaning house. I have to get over to the girls' school by 11, as they're putting on a special Thanksgiving program. We'll have a couple of hours to regroup this afternoon before their ballet/tap class at 4. I don't expect to be home again until around 6. We're just having leftovers for supper, I made sure to make enough last night to carry us over for tonight.

Ruth, have a wonderful trip and enjoy your visit with your DD! We'll miss you!

Morning Chickies! Well I met half my goal for the days leading up to Turkey day. Scales are back down to ticker weight so that make me happy going into what is sure to be a carb loaded meal at the in-laws. Missed the most important goal which was getting that mother loving house closed I have been working on for 3 years. This stinking mortgage industry slows to a crawl at the holiday and it drives me nuts! Unless there is some progress today it looks like I will work at least part of the day friday.

Cottage Sounds like you have a busy day ahead, good for you getting to curves this morning you are so dedicated!

Thinbyjune Wow, really sounds like a busy day for you! Your business picks up and mine screechs to a halt!

Thinagain I agree with cat, don't let the scales get you down. I to weigh daily just to keep myself in check but try not to let it get me down.

Ruth Have a safe trip, sounds like you are going to be wore out by the time your plane lands.

Cat Have fun cooking all your food porn, wish that is what I was doing today.

LC I sure hope you kick this soon. Good for you drinking though that is the most important.

Have a great day ladies, hoping to get out of here early myself but I will be checking back later.

Hey, Cottage! Good for you for going to Curves anyway! I'll have some Pumpkin Spice tea waiting... You amaze me with all that you do in a day! It's like raising kids twice! Have a great day and enjoy the quiet time while the girls are in dance class!

Wow, Thin! That's an exciting job! Are you at LAX? I don't know if the Mexican restaurant (the one that makes its own tortillas) is still there, but they have excellent food...and I used to love their horchata! Hope you have a fun and exciting day. :congrats: on the 3 lbs! At this rate, you WILL be thin by June!

Hey, ThinAgain! as we haven't "met" yet. I'm sure the other Beachies filled you in on how important it is that you move into Phase 2 at the end of 2 weeks. Staying on it longer not only is unhealthy, but it can lead to weight gain! That might be the reason for the pound...we all know you didn't consume an extra 3,500 calories yesterday! It could be water, too...or maybe the scale gods knew that if you weighed less today you'd splurge more tomorrow and they want to counteract that. Don't lose your momentum for a holiday that comes around every year. Enjoy being with your friends and family and add in something special for Phase 2, like some berries over SF cheesecake-flavor pudding, a WW small roll, or a pumpkin-y dessert. Let me ask one of the other mods if I can share her "pumpkin cake" recipe--it serves two (in two individual ramekins) and is delish! You can do this!

Ruthie, it cracks me up that you decide to fly for a visit on the most harried day of flying in the US...even though you're not celebrating Thanksgiving! I hope you guys don't suffer any delays or anything because of our busy skies. Have an amazing visit and relax! Did you finish the wall hanging in time or will you be basting at your friend's? There's something soothing about hand-sewing, though... We'll miss you and we'll try to behave.

Cat, if I could be an extra guest at someone's feast, I'd probably pick yours! I'm sure it'll be amazing, and even though I'm sorry you got up so early, I'm happy you have the day off. Enjoy it!

Oh, LC, that's a great one!!! I'm so sorry you are sick! When you're sick, hon, just focus on trying to get nutrients into yourself--don't stress about the plan. Even Dr. A said that in a Daily Digest a while ago. (although I'm really thrilled at the number of SF medicines that are coming out on the market! ) I had a couple of little clementines over the last couple days and they made me feel SO much better. I hope you are on the mend soon.

Me:
Well, I still haven't kicked my silly sinus infection, though I do think I'm on the mend...but now DH is sick too! Poor guy. I hope we can both still enjoy our visit to my in-laws. MIL got a new little dog earlier this year and I can't wait to meet her! The other two dogs are so HUGE that I've never gotten too friendly with them...even though they are very sweet. I think I'm more the little dog type. Sadly, this will be our first visit to my in-laws without our dog (who passed away last spring) in over three years. We're both going to feel it, I fear.

It'll probably be a slow day at work today--the students tend to stay home during breaks. I'm hoping to use the extra time to catch up on my Christmas shopping--online! I just love buying things on Amazon...so easy and inexpensive and there's such a selection! I just have to remember to use our chicky link!

Hope all our US chickies have an amazing holiday and our Canadian chickies have a great weekend!

Good Thanksgiving eve morning!

Cottage you are one busy lady. Enjoy the girls program

Thinby congrats on the 3lb loss - don't work to hard

Thinagain that 1lb gain shouldn't stick around. When I went into phase 2 my first week I gained 2lbs & then it was down from there

Ruth you have such a nice trip planned. I hope you enjoy every bit of it.

Femme enjoy your day

LC hope you feel better

Stephanie hope your day is a s good as you want it to be

Laurie hope you & dh feel better soon

So I won't have any workout today as I have to work and then I have to take my truck at lunchtime for service and then after work I am taking dh to a pre bday dinner & a movie. Busy busy. I hope me not working out today doesn't effect my weigh in tomorrow

I was on vacation yesterday and in fact am on vacation or holiday the rest of the week. I spent quite awhile at the gym yesterday and it really relaxed me. I'm going to try to make it again today but Brian is off school today so I may just do stuff around the house with him. We didn't get to deliver any popcorn yesterday as his afterschool program had a pageant that the kids wrote. Brian wrote an original song and played it on the recorder. I was so proud of him.

He's got a lot of sinus drainage and a cough but he says he feels fine. I guess I'll just keep an eye on him. I heard a LOT of kids in his day care coughing so I guess it is going around.

I need to make four bean salad and deviled eggs to bring with us to our friends' house tomorrow for Thanksgiving. My weight is staying stable at 150. If I can just make it past Thanksgiving without gaining maybe I can get it back below 150 again. I can't believe I let myself gain so much since last Spring but I think I just got to the point where I didn't care so much and now that I have made the decision to divorce, I care again.

So here's a quick hello, I've got to get moving, already getting a late start today! I've read about all your busy days and hope you have great ones.
Just a quick shout-out to the elusive Schatzi! It's great to see you around again! Hope all is going well with the new job.
