Default Any else for a November 11th/12th P1 start?

Hi all!

I've been on the Beach before...a few years ago. I had success with it but fumbled on Phase 2 and promptly gave up. This time WILL be different. I've gained 35 lbs. in 14 months (since my wedding) and I need a regimented way to get myself back on track.

Enter Phase 1!

I am making my list to go grocery shopping to start (re-start?) Phase 1 tomorrow. I made an excel (numbers here on my mac) chart of my food, including snacks, for the week as well. That way I know what I am eating and when. I weighed in last week at a whopping 241 pounds! I will weigh in again tomorrow (I really tried this week so I hope that number is lower!) and post here.

If you are starting Phase 1 again, feel free to post with me in this thread! Or, if you are way beyond it, feel free to help us out!!

Here's to a great OP 2 weeks!

Hey KO!!! We can totally do this! So far so good for me today on P1! Had eggs with red pepper, mushroom and fat free cheese and turkey bacon for breakfast, celery and laughing cow (garlic herb, YUM!) for a snack, a large salad complete with cucs, carrots, red pepper, celery, lettuce, perdue short cuts chicken and a bit of light cucumber ranch dressing for lunch. I forget what my other snack is but then it's Taco Bake for dinner, YUMMY!!!

Yes, I am officially RE-starting tomorrow, Monday the 12th as well.
Took me a little while to shop this week, schedule has been crazy, and the supermarket nearest my house has had lousy produce lately. If the mushroom sin my fridge looked like the ones they had for sale, I would have thrown them out! Shame on you, Marsh Supermarket!

Default Started Today

I did south beach a few years ago and never stuck to it. My hubby and I are Trying to concieve and My Dr recommended SBD to help regulate my Blood sugars (type 2 diabetic)
This morning was rough I HATE eggs and I bought egg starts instead thinking they would be better and had a really hard time getting them down. I used to make scrambled eggs and load them with ketchup so they would just slide down and i didn't have to taste them. Lunch will be much better salad with tuna on it. Yummy. I REALLY wish I could have ketchup for those eggs.anyone have any other ideas for breakfast?? I would love to hear them. Thanks ladies and have a great day WE CAN DO THIS

I'm not a huge egg fan but I really like them with salsa (lots and lots of salsa!). Actually, almost everything is good with good salsa

I would think you could eat any SBD legal protein with veggies for breakfast. I know in Britain they eat fish sometimes at breakfast. They also broil tomatoes and mushrooms.

Yeah, don't think just eggs for breakfast. Cook just one with beans and salsa? THere is yogurt too. Veggies are great, as are leftovers!!!

to all the P1ers, new and old!

Sounds like you're off to a great start!

Jenn, what happened to your foot?

WannabeMom, I detest eggs. I simply will not ever eat them. So, I had to come up with tons of creative things for breakfast in P1 and after. You'll find my ideas and tons of other ones from our wise Beachies in the Breakfast Alternatives to Eggs thread. There's also a new recipe that uses eggs, but is getting huge raves in this thread in the recipe forums.

Hope those help! for all of you!

Laurie -- I had surgery on it in March (platar's Fascia release) that was unsuccessful. I was supposed to be in a boot for 5 weeks (after physical thereapy for 4 weeks) but didn't wear it today as it hurts more IN the boot that out! I have to call tomorrow to tell them that.

The new guy (DW's doc) wants to try everything again before another surgery -- but that one may not be covered by insurance so I don't know where we go from here!!??!!
