I just found a place that sells hormone/antibiotic/organic poultry in my area. I went this morning and bought a big boneless turkey breast and I was wondering if anyone had any thoughts on how I should prepare it. I want to make sure that it retains it's moistness, and I want something that my kids will eat. My kids are straight up roast turkey and mashed potatoes with gravy kinda kids, but I was hoping for something a little healthier...any ideas?
Will a turkey breast make 2 meals for you? I would definateally make the first one just the traditional baked turkey. You can make the side dishes less fattening. And the Leftovers can be used in so many ways. A low fat turkey pot pie?
LOL... I should have mentioned.. It is a 5 lb turkey breast and she has it listed as 6 servings!!!!!!!! The magazine using a realistic 12 serving calculation and it was more like 172 calories. That being said, the nutritionals still obviously seem to be off on that recipe. It was VERY light.. no visible or extra fat whatsoever. I saw the recipe and recognized it and copied/pasted. Thanks for pointing that out .
