Well I can check one chore off my to do list. I got the front flower bed cleaned up - 3 big lawn & leaf bags full of hedge clippings and pulled weeds. I'm filthy, sweaty, sticky and I'm quite sure that I stink. I still have other hedges to clip, but they can wait until tomorrow. I just couldn't take the heat and humidity any more so called it quits. After I clean up, it's off to Wal-Mart. I may treat myself to a small Dairy Queen. I'll have to check on the calorie/fat count.

Just thought I would check in and say hi. I asked this in another thread but I thought I would ask in each thread I go to a lot. Will get a good idea of what I am wanting to find out that way. How much protein should I have a day. Doc moved me down from the 1600 calories Alli says to 1400. No wonder I could never eat enough lol. Is there such a thing as to much protein in ones diet?

Oh thank you. The site I found said something like 32.5 and I thought oh my gosh I have had 75 today. Most of it from a chicken breast but darn. I was real worried that I was way way over.

Taylormom
I have my 3 meals of the day broken into 6 meals a day. On average I eat about 21 grams of fat a day. Generally never more than 6 in one meal. Even with a 8oz chicken breast yesterday ( going to cut that in half I was so full I was sick after eating that much at one time ) I still only had 21 grams of fat for the day.

Didn't really think 6 grams was enough to take the Alli.

Hi everyone, I'm doing okay. My hubby went to Ireland tonight for a week of golf with some friends 'Boys Week Away' so it's a good thing for me because I don't have to cook for him all week (I get tempted) and he can't interrupt my exercise either! So it should be a good week.

I went to a party on Friday and I was so good, didn't eat a thing and onlyhad a club soda.

Saturday I went to a dinner at the golf club and also, I was very good. even having a fruit plate for dessert when everyone else at the table had apple cobbler with cinnamon ice cream and again I only had a club soda.

I made my step bench thing higher, so my cardio has gotten much tougher, it's about 3.5 inches higher to step now and it makes a huge difference. Before I was doing an hour of stepping and now I am dying after 30 minutes. I can only make it to 45/50 minutes max, but I am so tired and sweaty so I think it's a better workout.

Hope everyone has a good week this week. Eat healthy, try to get out for a walk, stay positive and lost those inches!

First I need to catch up on messages from the old thread.

Shy, thanks for being worried about me as well as my husband. I know several of my friends are too. It's nice to know that someone is thinking about me.

Cindy, I'll have to try those healthy grain bagels if I can find them.

Jenne, I've had salmon a few times while on Alli, and I've had no problems with TE's.

Kobe, I still don't understand the need to weigh so little. It just doesn't make sense to me when a person is at a healthy weight that they want to get into an unhealthy weight column. Alli put those guidelines up for a reason. I pray that things will work well for you, and that God will keep you in the palm of his hand. How old are you by the way?

Sue, congrats on the 5 pounds!!

New thread now -
Bobbigene, I treat myself to DQ sometimes too.

Shy, I log in all of my foods at ***********, (same place got 2 mentioned and mine gets stars!!), and it shows a pie graph comparing the amounts of fat, carbs, and proteins you have eaten and another graph of what you should have eaten. It helps keep me on track many days. 21 grams of fat a day seems a bit low for a healthy diet. At least it does to me. For the Alli to work correctly, you need to get in the fat that they recommend or close to it. I don't know many who eat lots of fats with their breakfasts.

got2gethealthy, I'm also at the 1800 cal. limit. How tall are you? I am 5'8". I wonder if I should move down for a faster loss, or just stay where I am for slow and steady?

Thin, Ireland sounds great! Why didn't he invite all of us?? Good for you on your workouts! I remember those days!!

Busy day today. Hubby goes to one of the specialists this morning. We're hoping that he can reduce the amount of oxygen that he's using and that he can go off of some of the diuretics since his fluid buildup is gone. He was up to 240 at the hospital. He usually weighs 185-190. Yesterday he was 166! He's 6'3", so that's a bit low. This afternoon we go to a health care center down the street from us for a physical therapy evaluation. He is so weak, so I know he won't be able to do much in the beginning. He has been getting out and walking some pulling his oxygen tank behind him.

I'm going to another football game on Sat. and taking our nephew with me. I talked to our son last night. He was supposed to work Sat. night, but he switched to Friday night. As of right now, he is planning to come home after the game on Sat. and surprise Bob! He's talked to him on the phone a few times, but it will be 2 weeks this weekend since he has seen him, so he thought it would be a nice surprise for him. Now I need to keep my mouth shut!! lol

Thin, yes I exercise, but nothing like I used to. Now it's just basically walking and water aerobics because of the arthritis and fibromyalgia. I used to do step aerobics at the Y 4 days a week for several years plus used the nautilus equipment on the other days. I didn't start having major problems with doing things until 10 years ago. I was pretty toned for a fat gal!!

Walking is something I do not do enough of, it's hard on my feet - I have diabetes and my feet blister very easily and ache. The only real walking I do it on my once a week trip to the mall. The Mall is worth blisters!

Default And It's a birthday month.

Bobbi, you made me tired just reading about that yard work. 'Course, you also made me feel guilty. My morning glories are looking badddddd, but they're still blooming so I hate to do anything with them. Also, I mixed the m.g. with some moon flowers and the moon flowers are going great guns. Decisions, decisions. heheheheh Maybe this weekend.

Well, today's my official weigh-in. Down that normal 1 pound. Hope how soon the whoosh faerie pays me a visit. But, that did put me at my short term goal, so I got to move that down. That felt good.

Loving the cooler weather here. Puppy and I are walking twice as much now, so that's got to be a good thing.

Here's some words to live (or chuckle) by:
THE 50-50-90 RULE: .... Anytime you have a 50-50 chance of getting something right, there's a 90% probability you'll get it wrong.

Have a great day, folks.

Good morning! I'm stiff from working out in the yard yesterday, got to do more today. I'll wait until later in the week to work on the fence, maybe put it off until next week. I wasn't all that great with my eating yesterday. A friend of mine called me and said to clean up and meet her for dinner - at a pizza place. So I bought my stuff at that exciting store Wal-Mart and had pizza. It's been at least 8 months since I've had a piece of pizza and I made up for it. Back on the wagon today! And back outside to do some more yard work.
