Baby carrots..
PB sandwich (low calorie, whole wheat bread and all natural pb)
Hummus sandwich (homemade hummus, low calorie, whole wheat bread)
Egg white sandwich (egg beaters, egg substitute or egg whites cooked with low calorie, whole what bread)
Frozen Berries with strained plain nonfat yogurt and maybe a bit of whey protein powder
100 calorie bag of popcorn (although this may have to go with the new medical findings, it is a rarity anyway)
low fat cheese

Mug, hummus tastes like... hummus... I make garlicky hummus and I really enjoy it. You'd have to try it although homemade/fresh tastes a lot better than store bought.

I like Barilla Plus. It is the yellow box. I think it tastes like regular pasta. also Rozini is good. I buy the rozini if I cant find the barilla plus. and sugar free jello is a god send. with some fruit and fat free cool whip. yummy

Sheila I am going to have to try that cherry tomato and cottage cheese that sounds so good....what is Laughing Cow Light though?

Hummus is made up mostly of garbonzo beans that are mashed with different seasoning like garlic pinenuts etc..

I like to use it on sandwiches instead of mayo

I like Uncle Ben's long grain brown rice. You have to cook it for awhile, but it's better tasting, to me, anyway, than the instant stuff. Although I do love the Uncle Ben's Ready Rice Brown Rice in a pinch.

Pasta I use the stuff in the brown box, Creamette's Healthy Harvest? Or maybe it's owned by Ronzoni now? Anyway, it says Healthy Harvest on the box. I have made tuna casserole with the whole wheat rotini, and spaghetti with the spaghetti & thin spaghetti. You have to cook it longer.

Fruit, let's see. I love it! My current favorites:
yellow apples
black grapes
white peaches
red pears
I also have dried fruits like pitted dates (I shove almonds into these for a quick snack), mission figlets in my desk for a quick snack. I also like no-sugar-added applesauce to keep me on track. I keep a small shaker of cinnamon here for both the applesauce & oatmeal.

Cans of mandarin oranges can work in a pinch, just be careful with the sugar as they are usually canned in syrup.

Veggies? I bought a bag of raw Veggie Medley (broccoli, carrots, cauliflower) so I like that. I also like cucumbers sliced up, zucchini, cherry tomatoes, mushrooms, etc, with fat free or lowfat dip. Also consider the low sodium cans of V8 they are quite good.

I also recently bought some cheese for a quick snack. This morning I had low sodium Wheat Thins, a stick of chipotle cheddar cheese and some black grapes.

My favorite snacks are:
Nuts
Hard Boiled Eggs
Mozzarella cheese sticks or other lowfat cheese sticks
Raw veggies and hummus
Apples with no sugar added peanut butter
celery sticks with nsa peanut butter or Laughing Cow Light Cheese (LCLC)
Reduced fat triscuits with nsa pb, LCLC, or hummus or other spread
A piece or two of turkey bacon, maybe wrapped up in a lettuce leaf with some tomato
Beans with salsa, shredded cheese, LCLC

Hummus very yummy, mug, and Hope, LCLC is also great and easy to find at the grocery store. It comes in a circle box by the cheeses and each little wrapped triangle is about 30 calories. It's soft and spreadable.

I love the Lundenbergs short grain brown rice. Love it.

My favorite snacks:

-Danon Light & Fit yogurt with 1/4 cup Fiber One cereal mixed in. I partially freeze it. If I'm on the go, I freeze it solid and it stays fresh and cold for hours.
-If, I'm home, ths is my new snack - A 2 egg white omlette, with roasted green beans - I know, I'm weird. But it's thoroughly delicious and satisfying and oh so very healthy.
-Fiber One cereal, measured out with a few raisins in there.
-Tofutti 30 calorie fudge pop
-1, 3 oz can of tuna in water, with romaine lettuce, grape tomatoes, cucumbers and red peppers
-An apple
-Grapes
-Strawberries, raspberries, blueberries - what's ever available
-Cucumber, tomato, red onion salad in a vinegar/water/salt/pepper/oregano dressing
-Leftover acorn squash that was baked with tons of splenda

My favorite snacks:
string cheese
handful of almonds of low salt peanuts
fruit (cubed cantaloup, watermelon, peaches, blackberries)
smoothies (also for breakfast) made of ff yogurt, mango or other fruit, and ice cubes and a bit of juice
baked pita chips and hummus (Stacys Simply Naked chips and Athenos traditional hummus)

I think the BEST whole grain pasta is Barilla Plus. Amazingly healthy and my kids dont even notice it is different. They do notice other brands of whole wheat pasta and they complain, but they love the Barilla Plus!

I also like the whole wheat egg noodles (wide ones) and I use No Yolks egg noodles as well, very good.
