I bought a new WW scale and it weighs about 2 1/2 lbs more than my old scale. It hurts to see the numbers go up and I did not even get to enjoy a binge. I hope to lose 15 lbs by Christmas and will try to exercise more.
Oh, boo. This same thing happened to me when I got a new scale (also WW). Soooo frustrating--mine added almost 10 lbs. I adjusted my starting weight, though, which helped a little bit--hard to admit I weighed that much, but allowed me to see the progress I'd actually made. I worked to lose those pounds, so I wanted the credit for it!
We had a WW scale for about 2 days last week, then some nice person in one of the WW forums told me of her frustration with her WW scale ( it would give her different weights every time she weighed, even if it was right in a row) So we tried the same thing, weighing 2 or 3 times in a row and sure enough different weights every time. We promptly took our scale back and got a different one, and this new one doesn't do the fluctuations.
SO.....even though WW is a great weight loss tool ( it's what I'm using to lose weight) I don't think that their scales are up to par.
You definitely didn't gain any weight, it's just a different scale! The numbers didn't "go up", it's just a different scale, you weigh exactly what you weighed before on the old scale - YOU did not change, the scale changed.
I'm so glad to hear that other people are having this problem. I knew our WW scale was wonky because I saw the numbers go down seven pounds in three days and seven pounds up in another three days, but it still wrecked havoc with my psyche this week. Before this week I think I might have weighed myself once on my home scale since going to WW meetings, but I was in a weird mood this week anyway. I have to make sure I stick to that from now on until I get to goal.
The same thing happened to me, I was six pounds heavier. Don't think about it, just keep going and soon it will be a distant memory (as it's become for me).
I've said it before, I'll say it again. Scales are evil and cheap. If the &%$@ thing won't tell you what you want to hear, run over it with a car a couple of times. Show it who's boss. Don't take $%&^ from your own scale! :-) heeheehee
LOUD SWEATY SEX THREAD ANYONE???? heeheehee. sorry. just gotta say that every once in a while.
I have a WW scale, and I weigh myself about 10 times each weigh-in to get an accurate idea of where I am. I'll stay with the number that comes up the most.
I too have a WW scale and completely love it. It's really consistent. I can get on and off 5 times and it will give me the exact same reading, no problems whatsoever.
