Default What are your favorite magazines/cookbooks?

Hello Ladies

I am getting ready to order new cooking/recipe magazines and wanted to see what some of your favorites are. Mine are as follows. Since I am a southern gal anything by Paula Deen, I get her mag and I have all of her cookbooks.
My other favorites are:

Kraft food and family (it's free and good)

Taste of home

Occasionally I will pick up a Rachel Ray & WW mags

Top secret recipes cookbook by Todd Wilbur (they clone top restaurant recipes, this is a great book)

Best of the Best by Gwen Mckee & Barbara Moseley

Several weight watchers cookbooks

Several Mexican cooking cookbooks

These are my favorite, I have too many to list. Thanks in advance.

Thank you for your response Christina. Is cooking light a magazine? I have seen other post about it, but just not sure. Thanks.

I have had subscriptions to both Cooking Light and WW magazines (yes Daph, Cooking Light is a magazine). I've always thought that Cooking Light was an offshoot of Taste of Home, but I could be wrong. Cooking Light also has several books out, my most recent acquirement was The Best of Cooking Light, where the greatest hits recipes from the magazines were compiled in one book.

One of my favorite sources for recipes though, is the internet. I GOOGLE everything.

if i was going to get one it'd be Cooks Illustrated - the one that is put out by America's Test Kitchen. Love the show - love the food - love the magazine but can't bring myself to spend that much on it.

I had a subscription for a year or two to Cooking Light - and while it was beautiful and the recipes sounded lovely - I never felt like I could afford the long list of ingredients or find some of the items in my local store or had enough cooking experience to make them. I was disappointed.

I love to find old cookbooks at book sales, but the two I've had forever and use on a regular basis are: the vegitarian epicure, and Jane Brody's Good Food Gourmet. I also use the internet a lot and find lots of recipes on the food network website.

I really dislike Cooking Light magazine but I love their website and cookbooks.

I used to subscribe to Bon Appetit and Gourmet, but most of the dishes were too high in fat/calories so I stopped doing that!

I have a ton of cookbooks but most are in a box in the garage!!! I have to say that I love to cook!

I love Cooking Light and Light & Tasty (by Taste of Home). I also love the recipes in Southern Living and the WW Magazine.

Don't get me started on cook books! I have a slew of them, I am a cookbook collector. The older the better.
I subscribe to Taste of Home, Cooking Light, Cooking for Two and I used to get Cooks Illistrated.
I have a Paula Deen, her first one, I have Nigella Larson, an old one of Martha Stewarts, a bunch of the Betty Crocker and Pilsbury that I get at the grocery store. I also print out all kinds of recipes from the internet. It would probably make at least 3 books with what I printed out.
I love to bake with a passion. For Christmas I bake about 10 to 15 different types of cookes and bars. Before dieting I always baking, now I don't as much. If my family wanted something then I would do it for them.
I have to constantly wash my hands so I don't taste my fingers, LOL!
I'll go through a cook book as if it was a novel. . . .I know I'm weird!

Or maybe it's Light & Tastey, rather than Cooking for Two. I know one changed into the other.

Actually, there is a Light & Tasty and a Cooking for Two. I didn't renew the Cooking for Two as there is usually only one or two pages of "healthy" recipes in each issue it seems.
