Smile Day #62

GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIAS

Hi GAIL thanks for starting us out cherry this day. I am having my coffee through a straw and waking up to a grand and glorious day. I copied that recipe and will get the makings next trip to the store. Sounds good and satisfying and I like crock pot recipes. Yep this is my weigh day and I am hopeful for a loss since I did do a good week. Only the scale can tell the tale of the loss though. However, I feel good about it. Life is good.

It's going to be a good day folks pay attention and enjoy it.

Good Afternoon, Flowers!
It is a beautiful sunny day here and the snow is melting once again. The best part is NO WIND! Everything is slop but that's ok.

Sharon -- CONGRATULATIONS on the .4# that is gone forever! After your week, I'd say "you done good!"
Do you suppose Felix will try to go fishing when you're not looking?

Gloria -- I am surprised that the troopers would escort a funeral. It must have been someone important! Around here you are on your own to get to the cemetery; you are SOL if you get separated enroute and don't know where you are going. I hate putting groceries away almost as much as the shopping part. My cupboards are looking pretty bare and I need to make a list and just go one of these days. I have DH pick up bread and milk on his way home from the office since he drives right by the store.

Gail -- Thanks for the recipe and the new thread! It sounds good! No donuts at this house but the GS Cookies were delivered today. I think I will take them to school and put them in the teachers' lounge.

Maggie -- Good luck at WI today!

Have a terrific Tuesday, Flowers! I am off to do some much needed ironing.

Jean -- from Iowa!

Hi Everyone!!!!!

Wow it has been such a long time since I posted...I have a lot of catching up to do. I hope everyone is doing great.

Maggie: I hope you have a loss tonight in your weigh in. You have been doing so good and I am so proud of you. Gin sends her love and hopes all is well in your neck of the woods. She isn't going on Monday nights anymore...now we have the meeting after school and it is easier for her to attend that one instead of the one at night. I bet they miss her on Monday nights...she kept things going.

Gloria: We have police escort for funerals here in town too. There is one police car at the beginning and one at the end, so that the everyone can stay together.

Gail: Thanks for the receipte....looks yummy.

Well, I need to get a few things done around the house. My mother in law is coming this Friday and spending some time with us. My kids are so excited....

I hope everyone has a great Tuesday!!!

GOOD EVENING MAGNOLIAS

I maintained.

Talk about law men at funerals you should have seen the ones that showed up at my brothers funeral. The whole force of local cops, highway patrol, sheriffs and all the firemen were there also. He was a county fireman and they sure have a way of showing support for one another and their families.

LORRAINE Welcome back I missed you. I am sure they miss Gin and you both at that Monday night WW meeting but I totally understand why you attend where you do now. I am sure that you are well ready now for your mother in law to come visit ~ enjoy now.

Everyone have a good tomorrow.

Default Tuesday Morning

Good morning everyone! We're supposed to get some rain today...and THAT is a good thing due to our drought warning.

Maggie, that "thin within" gal inside of you is resting up for the next big loss...that is why you maintained this week! Congrats and a (((HUG))) are still in order!

Lorraine, hi there! That recipe comes from a very good cookbook--few ingredients and cheap to make! (COOKING LIGHT 5 Ingredient/15 Minute Cookbook).

Jean, that's good thinking--get those cookies out of the house pronto! They will be gone in no time at school!

I wanted to drop by to say hello...and to tell everyone I'm still on program and in control. Got a lot of work on my desk.

BBL

Good Afternoon gals

Thought I would stop by for a quick post. Still trying to get back in the habit. It's a beautiful sunny day here. Makes me really want spring to arrive. I guess it will be here soon enough.

I've been struggling again this week, some high point days again. I'll see what the scale has to say tonight. I've been very busy making a baby quilt and getting info on a cruise. My hubby and I are planning a 25th anniversary cruise for Feb 2003. That should be an extra motivation for me to get another big chunk of weight off.

Well, have to get back to work. Have a great day everyone and congrats to all for working hard at what we do best.....LOSING!

Brenda

Default Week #11

GOOD MORNING MAGNOLIAS

What a gorgeous day this is going to be. And I will stay on the program I have been on and see what happens before I make any changes - like eating more food. I played around with going down a notch or two in this but don't think it a good idea just yet for this is my first maintain. But I wanted to whine so much! I got so used to losing each week that it was expected even though in the back of my mind I kept waiting for that other foot to drop. UGH

GAIL thanks! Girlfriend yesterday was your Happy Birthday to ya! and you did well managing your points. I'm proud of you.

Have a great day ya'all.

Default Tuesday Afternoon

I'm sitting here at work. I'm supposed to be...working. As you can see I am not.

Brenda, I am so excited for you! Planning a cruise! I've never been on a cruise but I've heard they're nice and a lot of fun! You've got almost a year. YOU CAN DO IT! And you KNOW you can because you've already come a long way.

Maggie, you know I've done more than my fair share of whining through the years on this message board. I think it would be perfectly alright for you to whine some. (((HUG))) You're doing wonderfully. Thanks for the birthday wishes...can you believe it?! I'm 51 years old now!

I was telling Sharon this morning that I'm actually looking forward to going to WW and weighing in this Saturday...no matter what the scale says. I know I've been on program. And I feel good too.

okay...gotta scoot...work...bleh!

Default forgot

I need to bring y'all up to speed on my fil and his love life! We still haven't met the lady but we know her name now. Faye. My fil has met her 4 children (grown of course--she's 65 years old after all) and they like him; he likes them. Wayne and his dad had a really long talk on Monday (Wayne was with his Dad) in which a lot of questions were answered for Wayne to set his mind at ease. Of course his dad wants us to meet her and we're going to. IF Wayne doesn't have to work on Saturday, 3/23, we're driving down to have dinner with my fil and his lady friend. We just worry about my fil--we don't want him being taken advantage of is all...

Good Afternoon, Flowers!
I just heard a weather report on the way home and we are supposed to get "something" but they aren't sure what or when as the storm hasn't actually developed yet. Now is that an up-to-date report or what!?

Maggie -- Your brother's funeral wasn't recently was it? I hope I didn't miss that in my reading. You will have a loss again next week, I just know it! You have your FOCUS !!

Gail -- HAPPY BIRTHDAY! I hope you had a great day! When my dad got remarried, they set up a prenuptial agreement because they both had their family trusts plus she owned a house and he didn't. He teases her about paying his rent and she calls him her handyman. They have had a lot of fun over the last 6 years.

Brenda -- I've never been on a cruise either. Do you know where you want to go? My week hasn't been the best and I was seriously thinking about skipping WI tonight but suppose I will go anyway. I am always surprised when I think I have had a really bad week. We'll see! Your next week will be a better one and so will mine!

Have a wonderful Wednesday, Flowers!

Jean -- from Iowa!

GOOD AFTERNOON MAGNOLIAS

It is a bit windy here today but it is still a bright sunshiney day. I have come to my senses and decided to keep on doing the program as I have been for another month then evaluate and see if it needs some adjustment. My goodness it was just my first MAINTAIN after all.

BRENDA we posted at the very same time! Girlfriend that cruise for your 25th sounds great. I also have never been on one and would love to one day. You are such an inspiration to me so please do make it a habit and come back often and post.

GAIL that will be great that you will be able to meet your FIL's main squeeze soon. Maybe that will set your mind at ease about his relationship and her. I know it can be worrysome when you don't want someone taking advantage of a loved one.

JEAN Is it still Winter there? Yikes Spring will be with us next week. I bet those outside cats will be glad of it.

Have a great afternoon ya'll

Default Wednesday Afternoon

Its certainly not a sunshiney day here; its raining...but that's okay. Rain is good.

And I'm hungry. I can't wait to go home and fix dinner. Its going to have to be something quick on a day like this...when I'm hungry.

Maggie, for the millionth (okay maybe its not a million) time I'm starting the wendie plan. Today is a 20 point day and I have 9 points left and I'm gonna squeeze all the food out of those points that I can! While I'm eating my dinner I'm going to be making some veggie soup "just in case" later I find the need to feed that "thin within" gal inside of me. You're right--its your FIRST maintain after all and that is NOT a sign that the plan is no longer working. Your body is adjusting is all. So...what do you tell me? Nooooo...not FOCUS although you do say that to me...but...breeeeeeathe! I'm looking forward to meeting my fil's ladyfriend. After all Wayne did tell me that his Dad seems to be really happy...and goodness we all deserve happiness in our lives.

Jean, okay...so what kind of weather did you get finally? Weathermen! <rolleyes> Sometimes you just want to tell them to "open up the window and stick your head out!"

Brenda, you've been on my mind today...how are you doing on program? Check in with us...please!

Okay...its time for me to log off and go home.

GAIL yep that is it! Thanks for the remind. I gotta breeetheee for sure. Sometimes I do forget that ~ stop and think and take a few breaths and then go on keeping FOCUS all the while. I know the Wendie plan works ~ I was just toying with eating in a higher range than I have been doing. You know, give myself some more points. But if this continues to work than it is what my body will stand and I will have lots of practice eating the right amount of points when I reach goal. Which I am going to be doing this trip for sure. Thin Within loves that veggie soup and also that veggie chili. Right now I am oven drying Roma tomatoes and they sure do smell good. If you have never tried them and you like tomatoes you will love these. I'll send the 411 your way if you want. Tomatoes aren't a favorite of Cowboy's but he likes them this way. In fact while he was in town he bought these tomatoes and asked me to fix them.

Have a nice evening everyone.
