Well, I have the vitamin thing down, finally so my challenges are:

~Walk for at least 15 minutes EVERY day
~Make sure I eat 3-4 servings of fruits & veggies every day
~Drink my water/Crystal Light

Nothing difficult really, but I can't manage to do all of them... And I am really getting sick of it. I CAN do it. I just need to kick myself in the *** and do it.

Well I managed to journal today and I did not eat anything that was not on my menu and drank 2 bottles of water.

I walked to work this morning but took the bus home as it was way to hot an humid - the fear of heatstroke made me wimp out.

So far so good. The last 2 days I did manage to do the water, the walk, the fruits & veggies, and I am still keeping up with the vitamins.

This Summer I'd like to stick with the yoga and excercise regime I've begun.

I'd like to stay away from sweets as much as possible.

When I go home for a visit I'd like to have the nerve to have the energy and the nerve to not eat the frightfully fattening food my beloved dad will serve me.

I want to try to take it easy on the icy cool beer on hot days.

I would like to do more than just walk to work and back every day. 3 miles round trip is a lot but I feel like I should find a way to do more- even though I'm exhausted when I get home!

Make sure to eat lunch at work. I'm an intern and always looking to please, so sometimes I accidentally work through lunch.

Make very conscious decisions about my meals and plan in advance.

Hello, I have been looking for a challenge thread just like this. I like the idea of lumping it together. For me, lumping it like this means, what can i get done while the kids are out of school for summer.

My summer goals:

Up my water, decrease my soda.
Get in the pool and work it at least 3 days a week, prefer 5 days though.
Make dinner a smaller portion meal, not my biggest meal of the day.
Eat clean, whole foods.
Exercise only on the days i eat, ha ha (do something each and everyday). Even if it is just 15 minutes of light piddling in the garden.

Monday:
Worked out hard in pool for an hour, played with 7 year old for 30 minutes in pool.
Water, no soda
Ate clean

Hi all,

My summer goal is just plain ole consistency. Constant exercise instead of one week yes one week no. I just joined lawl, so my goal for that is stick to the plan.

I'm joining

My goals:
My birthday is at the end of August, like my sig says. I want to be down to 155 or less, so that I'm no longer overweight by the time I turn 21. ! I haven't been drinking much at all, and I'd like to at least get a little tipsy on the day that I can finally buy my own booze!

Things I'm already doing (but keeping them up is a goal):
-Eating between 1,200 and 1,800 calories a day, with 1,500 as my daily average
-Eating less than 50g fat, less than 200g carbs, less than 2,000 mg sodium, 75g+ of protein, and 20g+ of dietary fiber.
-Riding my bike 20 miles 4 days a week, running 15-60 minutes 3 days a week, doing weight training with hand weights 15 minutes every morning, doing 5-10 minutes of abs exercises, and going to the gym... well... at least once or twice. I also do pilates if I'm inspired to, which usually happens about twice a week.

I've done a lot of research on the most effective ways to lose weight, and I'm pretty sure I'm doing everything right... so I hope I can be down to 155 or less by my birthday.

Well it's almost the end of the month . . .

How is evderyone doing so far?

I've done well with increasing water and fruit intake.

Missed yoga 2 weeks in a row -

I have been walking to work 3 - 4 days a week and taking the stairs.

Journalling has been sporadic and the veggie meals have not been as frequent as I would like. DH is the BBQ King all summer long - I have to remember to pick up some veggie burgers and other alternatives next grocery shop. Although I have to say that most of my lunches have been vegetarian.
