Personnally, I find it better because 1) I run in the park, so it's still quiet and almost empty (save for the other runners!), 2) it's before a meal, so I don't have to worry about calculating whether I'm still 'diverting' much energy for digestion or not, 3) it's out of the way, and anything coming up after that during the day won't thwart your exercise schedule. And indeed, I feel better for the rest of the day afterwards. Actually, it even got me through this year's finals with a very low stress level, which is always good--no overeating, no panicking, just what it took to be alert and always on top.
