"Just for today" Challenge [anyone care to join me?!]
Hi friends!
Okay, I was thinking today after my uhm, let's say - my mishap with buying and yes eating, 2 long johns today that I need help [obviously!] *lol*
Long johns are definately my biggest downfall and what I was thinking is that anyone who wants to join in each day can and we can post two things:
1. Just for today I will not ... [fill this in with, well - with anything that causes you to stumble with your weight loss.]
2. Just for today I will ... [fill this in with something that will support your weight loss, such as - Just for today I will walk 1,000 steps [or whatever it is you'll do.]
Anyone care to join me? I hope to make this a thread that I [and others too, I hope!], will post on daily and that way ...
We'll have a bit more accountability and I think it will help me to get my butt in gear and post on a daily basis, unlike what I have been doing lately.
I'll start the thread off with a reply as soon as I post this and plan on doing the format ...
[and hope others will too so we can keep track] but to put the date at the top of your post.]

Today I will not graze on the walnuts below my kitchen counter. They call my name often, but I need to eat only a few each day.
I will do my normal workout and do some afternoon cardio.
So Lady J ? You walked your steps at Walmart tonight ?
I went to Sam's ( more cottage cheese, more lettuce).
I didn't eat my way through the bag of Walnuts and did the extra cardio this afternoon.
It was a good on plan day and I still have a few calories left over for...hum cottage cheese ?
Nope, I did my Walmart walking earlier but never put on the pedometer until about 9:00 tonight and walked around the block a few times and then back around to get my steps in. *lol*
Good deal - it looks like we both did good today!
This thread I think is really gonna help me with keeping things on track [at least the important things ... you know, like NO long johns. *lol*]
My challenge for today is to get food prep done for the weekend . If I have things I can eat ready in the fridge then there is no excuse for nibbling on chips.
I am going to try not to snack all weekend except on things that I can legally eat. ( now that is a challenge)
I met that challenge! It actually did stop me from eating anything sweet!
To "spoil" myself I skipped laundry and vacuuming. Instead I gave myself a facial. (Something I hadn't done in a long time) and watched one of my favorite chick flicks. When it was over I felt great and continued with my housework. Some days I think I get overwhelmed by what needs to be done and today made me realize that I should take care of myself those other things will still be there.
