I'm so excited, I just had to share. Weighed myself this morning and I am officially half way to my goal - 30 out of 60 pounds!
and another excuse to use my favorite emoticon, the carrot guy!
I started September 1, 2006. It seems to have been a really slow process, and even though I know that a slower weight loss is the healthier way to go, I must say there is something to be said for finally reaching the half way point.
I'm also proud that my journey since September included quitting smoking! I think for a long time I was afraid to give up the extra calories that smoking burns (plus I was addicted, LOL). But frankly, I was still gaining all that weight while smoking, so really that was no excuse.
So, my accomplishments to date include: going from size 16 (and pair of pants sized 18-that's when I started wearing only elastic waistbands) to a very comfortable 12, going from NEVER exercising to doing 45 minutes a day, being able to jog/run for the first time EVER, quitting smoking, losing 30 pounds, learning to cook and preparing most of my meals instead of eating fast food every meal, and lowering my blood pressure.
