Default I'm so proud of myself...

I walked two miles tonight on my treadmill. I know it doesn't seem like alot, but I've never done it before! I know this sounds silly, but I love to excercise because on the days I go farther than before... It gives me a high!!! (natural of course)...

You're my hero! I am just starting formal exercise and barely make it to a half mile. Aren't those endorphins great!

Hi Liz!

Wow! BIG PROGRESS there! I know what you mean about feeling the acomplishment and it making you want to do even MORE!

Here's something that's fun to do: Write down that 2 miles and add to it each and every mile that you walk. Even half miles and quarter miles count! You will be amazed at how the mileage accumulates! Keep an ongoing record.

When I first started walking a number of years ago, I counted the MINUTES walked. That was fun, too, but the MILES seemed even more fun. Before I knew it I had walked 25 miles altogether! Over the years it was fun to go get my Road Atlas from the car and see how far I had actually walked in miles. A few years ago my husband went to Atlanta to a math conference. I checked out the Road Atlas and discovered that I had already walked enough miles TO GET TO ATLANTA on foot! SO FUNNY!

Keep up the GREAT walking! If you want company on your walk, try out Leslie Sansone's Walk Away the Pounds. I walk with Leslie a couple of times each week as I mix her in with other workouts I do. Walking is SO GREAT! It helped me shed my thunder thighs, and my rear end lost a lot of fat, too.

Hey Liz! Just posted and saw that you had lost FOUR POUNDS! Woo Hoo! GREAT JOB, Girl!!!!
