Sweet potatoes for me too! I thought I didn't like them but now I can't believe I wasted my life eating regular potatoes (I swear, I say that so often that I ought to make it part of my signature
).
Turnips! Only 8 calories an ounce but they taste like a starch to me.
Wild rice--I thought I didn't like it but I tried some recently and it was actually pretty good.
Lean meats--chicken, fish, pork. Before I started my diet I was incredibly picky about my chicken, hardly ever ate fish, and never ate pork. Now all of these are staples in my diet. Pork is especially a surprise to me. Today I had lunch at a Cuban restaurant and ordered a spicy pork dish. Two years ago, I wouldn't have even considered it.
And plain non-fat Greek yogurt. Before my diet, I only ate full fat yogurt (although at least it was plain). But now I can't even taste the difference between Trader Joe's non-fat and 2% Greek yogurt (I conducted a taste test once). In fact, there a whole list of low-fat and non-fat dairy products that I thought were awful prior to my diet that are now staples for me. It's all a matter of being open to them.
