On Monday I burned 1020 calories according to the heart rate monitor (I wear around my rib cage). I consumed about 1200 calories on that same day. Is this healthy????? Where is the fine line between maximum benefit and starvation mode where my body will "eat" the muscle to survive???

If you're feeling good and still energetic afterwards, I would say that it's fine for you... If you're feeling weak and lethargic, then by all means bring your calories up
by adding lean proteins and unprocessed carbs along with veggies and fruits ... I'm not THAT educated
and have no scientific answers for you, but I do think common sense prevails... Everyone is just so different and we're all an experiment of one, so if this works for you and you're feeling fine by all means keep it up ... I hope this helped a bit
