Talking CHOLESTEROL Level Down!

I was so happy when I got my lab results today. I have had high cholesterol for many years, and the highest being 289! Two years ago my level was 239, last year it was 214, and this time it's down to 179! I've been eating either oatmeal or cheerios for past two years, not because I felt I needed to, but because I love and crave both of them. I guess they really do help to lower cholesterol! I can't wait to see how low my levels go as I keep losing my weight. My sugar level a year ago was 107 and this time it was 98.

Wow, Michele, that is a GREAT cholesterol reading! Good for you! Proof that eating better foods and losing weight does help with those tests. Congratulations! This is a wonderful Non Scale Victory for you!

Those results are FANTASTIC Michelle!!! No wonder you sound so happy! When I had my last lot of blood work done the results were really good too and it confirmed for me that I was on the right track with my new 'healthy' lifestyle. To me, the weight loss is an added benefit, but my main priority was to be HEALTHY!

Your doctor must have been impressed!

Take care,

Zelma

Thank you ALL for your kind words and encouragement! I am so happy with my results and just know that it will only get better as I lose more weight and become healthier. My cholesterol level has never been this low as far back as I can remember, even after having my youngest DD and being thinner.

Zelma ~~ I actually will be going to a new doctor this coming Tuesday morning, but she will have all of my numbers on file from the previous years.

WOW!!

That is my dream. My cholesterol has always been high even at "not that overweight". I convinced my doc in January to give me to August before we tested again.
