Default An AMAZING thing I've discovered!

Ok, ok, ok....I know this is no discovery to MANY of you reading this...but for me it is a HUGE breakthrough.

I'm eating very healthy, nutritious, good for me foods and I am having to ADD things to my daily eating plan in order to get enough calories. WOW. In January I was still so addicted to processed foods that I was having to take things OFF my daily menu in order to stay UNDER the upper end of my calorie range. When did this shift happen???? I have NO idea! But there it is. I am LOVING each and every meal I eat. It is NOT a chore to stay on this plan because it is SO delicious and satisfying. I just finished having a morning snack/breakfast (I eat my light snack early and my breakfast at snack time) of a whole wheat tortilla, laughing cow (thanks Dana!!!), 2 egg whites, sauteed onions, and a broiled tilapia fillet. I know the fish sounds like a wierd addition but I had broiled 3 fillets this morning because they were thawed 2 days ago and I felt like I needed to get them cooked. So when I was making my burrito for breakfast it just seemed like something neat to try. I'm so glad I did! It was outstanding!!!

Anyway, once again I realize that all of you who have traveled this rode before me were absolutely right. When you switch to nutritionally dense foods the cravings DO go away...and the satisfaction is long lasting!

Thanks so much!!!

Good for you, Royalsfan! I've had a very similiar amazement myself because I come in under my calories often as like you, I'm just not as hungry as I used to be because of what I'm eating! And the best part? None of the foods I'm eating are tasteless and gross!

Talking Oh so very true, Tricia and Kim!!!

Here is another amazing thing for me. I have PCOS and struggle with thinning hair in spots and overgrowth in others. Right now my hair is thick, shiny and healthy, my nails grow so very quickly and the hair that sprouts up in the wrong places is under control. My skin looks great. I am taking no medications or vitamins. It is just from eating nutritious and delicious foods! Gotta love that!

Tricia, I am just so happy for you. You know when we say here that it's really important to eat the "right" foods, I know it sounds hard to believe. It is so important to not only stay within your calories, but make them good ones. Not only are you getting proper nutrition, but the cravings really come to a screeching halt. And they keep you much more satisfied. And therefore you stay on plan. It is an amazing thing. I'm so glad that you've discovered this. Things are really, really clicking for you.

Casey that's just phenomenal.

This was my experience as well, it always felt a little bit like a miracle to me. It has been 2 years and 8 months since I changed my life and I still feel the same way - I love eating healthy, whole foods and I don't crave sugar/junk.
