Default I dont wanna go to the gym tonite

I started getting cravings about 2pm for something. I took out my rice cakes and asked myself if I was really hungry, I wasnt so I put them up and continued chewing my gum. 45 mins later Im still feeling the same way and realized it was time for a snack anyways. I was supposed to have fruit but since I didnt have any I ate 4 mini rice cakes and a 90 calories quaker rice cake pack. I feel better now but Im rejecting going ot the gym for some reason. I only have 5 hours sleep last nite so it could be b/c IM tired but I wouldnt go home and rest I would be cleaning the house. I know once I get done at the gym I would prolly feel good about going but I just dont want to go!!!

You're right--you WILL feel better so go to the gym!

Hey, consider something else for a snack if you can. Rice cakes really spike your blood sugar, which can leave you even more tired and hungry a few hours later. How about a snack with some protein?

I can't remember who (someone here at 3FC), but someone much wiser than I am gave me some advice about this. She said that you need to treat exercising not as an option, but as something you just do. Make it something that you just don't think about, you just do it... kind of like brushing your teeth. It would be like saying I don't feel like driving today, but I have to get to work, so I have to drive. You don't give yourself that option of not driving.

GO TO THE GYM!!! Otherwise, you might feel guilty later on tonight!

I went and did 30 mins of a spinning class. When I have to p/u DD from school I only have 30 mins to exercise. I didnt feel better after leaving! Tonight I will be doing 2 classes plus working out while waiting for the 2nd class to start so I should have about 2 hours 15 mins in tonite.

Good for you! Even 30 minutes is good and I'll bet you felt so much better than you would have if you wouldn't have gone.
You can give yourself a big pat on the back for working through the resistance you were feeling.

Good for you! Even though you didn't feel better, you should feel a lot of pride that you went. And your body really will thank you. Also, be sure and get that protein in, okay?

Good for going even when you didn't feel like it. Fish is an excellent source of low fat protein.
