Default Gold2 Plan??????

Hi everyone! I was looking thru the friends thread and I saw a post that talked about the Gold2 plan...I am intruiged as I am doing Gold and I feel pretty hungry more often than not, which of course is a recipe for disaster over time.
I started a week ago today, lost 5 pounds, gained one back (TOM), and am just plugging away at this. Any info about Gold2 would be interesting...is it geared towards specific weight or weight loss goal? What would be the indication for it? etc. Thanks!

Hey Coop,

Just opened my LA online account in another window. There's no option for Gold 2 when selecting a program. As for constantly being hungry, talk with the COD, they might give you suggestions or figure out how to combat hunger. Like I've said previously, I find it best for me to spread things out over 6 mini meals over the course of the day. I NEVER EAT ONLY ONE EXCHANGE AT A TIME! Even with the lites, I either do a fruit or dairy to balance it out.

It's actually a new menu plan, she put me on gold 2 yesterday and they have added a whole bunch of new things to the food listing, the date on the book is 3/07, so I don't know if we were one of the first ones to get it or what. Ask your COD about it.
As far as just starting and being hungry, if you are used to eating more, your body may need a couple of weeks to adjust to the new plan. Give yourself another week. You will be surprised at how much your stomach will shrink up, then you won't need as much food. If you are still hungry, then discuss it with your COD.

Thank you Deb! I am trying to get used to being hungry much of the time...the only time I don't feel it is at work when I am running around a 12 hour shift..then it tends to hit me all at once! I will look around when I go back for another weigh in for info on Gold 2.

Deb,
You said that they added a lot more stuff to the gold2 plan.
Did they add more to the resturants section? They one I have has menu items that don't exist anymore which makes it hard.

Also I was wondering what COD means.

Thanks Marzbe. I am trying to figure it all out a bit better. I need protein before I go to work, but then I end up having to wait til much later to eat again (to work at 11a, with dinner break hopefully between1700 - 1800). Then I am starving when I get off shift at 2330 and I can't help but think that a whole nother meal @ midnight before bed can't be good. Its just a pain in the butt til I get it figured out. I don't want too much splitting yet, because its only been a week and I want to be comfortable with the plan before I play with it.

Coop - Have you mentioned the shift work to them? Sounds like you may need to be on blue, which is 1/2P and 1S more. It's for shiftworkers specifically.

Linda- They did add to the restaurant section. After you are on the program a while, you will get to be a pro at what to order and you will be bugging the wait staff asking them how they cook, what spices they use, sauces on the side, etc.

Coop,

I'm on Red (which of course is more food than anything else ), but I started plan during X-mas season, which for me as a retail merchandise coordinator means 70 hour weeks. I was in a little different spectrum since I'm at work at 5 each morning. (But, most of the year I'm home at 12:30 ) My food day during that crazy insanity looked something like this:

5 am: fruit, starch, protein

10 am: dairy, lite

1-2 pm: protein, veggies, fruit

4 pm: fruit, lite,

6 pm: protein, veggies, starch, fat

8 pm: starch or a fruit, depending on what was left for the day.

I ate dinner late at night all through college, and while I was heavy I maintained my weight. If you plan for something light at night when you get home you'll be fine. Personally, I need something in my stomach before I can go to bed. I'm not sure what type of work you do, but is there any way you can sneak in some food before your meal break?

Also like Cassi said, talk to COD about Blue, it's specifically desinged for us crazy people who work ungodly hours!
