Default Peanut Butter Recall

This was on the news last night. Not sure if anybody else saw it. I know plenty of us use PB here as our protein, so hopefully you don't have these. I have two jars. One barely used and one unopened that I have to send back.

Peanut Butter Recall

Updated Thursday, February 15, 8:30 p.m.

Some tainted peanut butter is being blamed for a nationwide outbreak of salmonella.

The Food and Drug Administration is warning people not to eat certain jars of Peter Pan or Great Value peanut butter. Those jars have a product code on the lid that begins with the number "2111." The peanut butter is produced by ConAgra Foods.

Federal health officials said the outbreak has sickened 288 in 39 states, including Pennsylvania.

If you have the peanut butter, send lids from the jar, your name and address to: ConAgra Foods, P.O. Box 3768, Omaha, NE 68103.

For more information, call 1-866-344-6970.

Thank you for the heads up.
I'll double check, but I don't think I have any of that in my cupboard.

Not me... Choosy dads choose Jif!!

God, how I love peanut butter!!!

Favorite sinful PB treat... Mix PB and a squirt of pancake syrup in a bowl and scoop out with graham crackers or Ritz crackers.. Ahhhh.. how I miss those days..

I had one. I had barely used any of it, thank goodness. I usually get Jif, but got the Peter Pan cuz it was on sale. They didn't give any info here to send the lids back, thanks Sherry.

Geez--I had 2 jars--one unopened, the other I had opened and eaten the morning before this came out!! Of course I am fine--I can't even get sick to lose weight--lol.

Are they saying how to get your $$ money back or anything?

nevermind--I called my Walmart and they said just bring in the jars and they will refund the $$ (whole jar, not just the lid like Conagra is stating)--easier than mailing the lids--for me anyway.

Default not good

well I had bought peter pan for the first time ever and used it. I got ridiculously sick, really high fever and horrible stomache cramps and you know the deal. well, the doctor said I had the flu because I also had a horrible cold, but who knows if it was from the peanut butter or not. It's a scary thought. I am finally feeling better about a week later. Let's just say I will not eat anymore peanut butter for a while! On a good note, i lost 3.6 pounds this week!
